Yes you do, and so do I. Unfortunately, rumor has it Norm was hired as a consultant by AMR when we went after JAL. Does that help you better understand some of DOT's "mood swings" on the LGA/DCA swaps, Australia, etc.?
Not only is he otherwise commited... he's probably otherwise commited to making Delta miserable. |

Wish we had Norm Mineta back. He has one son at Delta and another at Skywest. Lahood and his cronies need to meet NewK in a cold dark alley. NewK eats corrupt politicians for breakfast. I'd send Carl but he might break a hip.

AE Question. I'm DTW 320. Right now I'm about 95% in category. I want to go to a fleet where I can be 75% or better in category. I know I can do that right now on NYC M88, but I'd prefer MSP.
My question is this, if I want to stay DTW 320 as long as I get to 75%, can I put DTW 320 B 75%, then MSP 320 B 75%, then MSP M88 B 75%? In other words, I don't want to leave DTW 320 if I can hold 75% in category with this AE. Is this how I would prevent leaving the category if I make 75% or better with this AE? Thanks in advance to anyone who can crack my code. :D |

You can never underestimate the power of DC-9 pilots, and certainly not Knew. Here is a guy that types "nevermind", and gets his point across. It's almost as if he could make his mind be read...;)
So, maybe I misunderstood the original poster. Maybe, within the confines of the contract, schedulers and pilots find a peaceful way to keep long call long, and use intelligent practices to manage the system. I have no beef with that. I was more thinking about the individuals, once the practices are effected, and once the phone call is made, who have misplanned enough not to be available, or planned to be unavailable, and who shift their job onto someone else. After replying to you post I thought about it and knew that is what you meant, so I came back and "neverminded" it. :D |

If I also have it right, your DTW 320 B 75% will also show you as being a senior bidder for that position to someone junior to you if they look, which contributes to the uselessness of that feature in icrew. If that's not the way it works, I've got some scrambling to do between now and next week. :D New K PS. Don't forget about MEM 320 B. You never know. :) |

You have it correct.
Also put the identical choices in your VD bid. Don't forget an M88 award would come with a 2 year freeze. Would I leave DTW 320 B 75% off the VD? Can't see why that would go on? |
BTW,
Thanks for the responses Check and NewK. :) |

Has to be lowest. 753 has been lowest CASM since it got on the property (both NW and DL).
If there were 753 on the used market, DL would probably stumble over its own feet in a rush trying to grab them. |
