New hire pay, $22/hr, FO pay tops out at $44/hr.

And according to their Flight Attendants and Pilots, they've got enough money to buy Delta Air Lines and just might do it.

I do not know where SKW Inc or their pilots get the notion that they have enough cash on had to buy DAL. Our Market Cap is at 8.820 billion. Last time I checked they did not even have 1/8 of that in cash. Now when DAL was at 4 share anyone could have bought us. Plus, I beleive we have over 788,908,765 outstanding shares.

Memo I got about the FAA informing Delta Dispatch of ASIs being denied the jump seat.

"The pilots of Southwest support our Company's request for a free market process to take place regarding these open slots in two very key destinations," said Capt. Carl Kuwitzky, SWAPA President. "But we also support the benefit to the public of a low-cost carrier providing true competition for flyers in these markets."
I'm no economic expert, but wouldn't a free process be selling something you own without the government getting involved?

GMAFB - free market process - like having the WH and DOT stack the market in your favor like they did in EWR?

That is just the market cap. To buy the company, the buyer must add in debt. $20 billion or so in DAL's case.

My point was to give the market cap for the outstanding shares. You can buy a company without buying out all of the debt, but you do have to take it over.

In the end the point was that it would be almost impossible for SKW to buy DAL without the boards concurrence.
