Do we get credit for a short call if it is acknowledged. Then they assign you a trip after you already acknowledged short call but don't ever actually sit short call?

I ask because I had credit for a short call removed and didn't realize it until now.

I can't find anything in the contract. Thanks.

As far I see, you should get credit anytime you acknowledge it. If they give you a trip with less than 12 hours notice, you were on short-call and should get credit for it.

For example, I was assigned SC from 1100 to 1100. At 0705 I was assigned a trip reporting at 1735. I got credit for the SC (and always have for this type of situation)

Now if you acknowledge the SC but call in sick, you don't get credit for it.

Best bang for the buck in the Caribbean. Very affordable now but gets expensive in the high season (right after Christmas).
The wife loves the beach at RIU because they maintain lots of palm trees right near the water. She's blonde and can't do the "all day on the beach" thing without shade. She loves laying under those trees, sipping foo-foo drinks and reading her trashy novels.
RIU Palace is our favorite resort there. Very "elegant" and has the best resaturants. (Riu Palace Macao is good too) Right next door on either side of the RIU complex is two other good ones. Iberostar and Bahia Principe.

Thanks. Loads should be ok in Aug/Sep..Through Atl only

They are awesome notes, and great for ppl to read, but just a little too good. The DALPA board may be a good place for it since it will be DAL pilots only that are seeing it.

No. There were some very specific numbers in there. It's probably best to leave them off.

YES! The prices vary wildly though, so try a few to get the best deal. I did this for my wife a few months ago to LGA roundtrip (leave fri afternoon, return sunday night) for less than $200. Several of the other tickets quoted actually ended up being more expensive than if I bought a ticket from travelocity, orbitz, etc. You just can't beat not worrying about flight loads though. It's worth the money just to know you're going (and more importantly coming back on schedule.)

Good deals to be had, but you definitely need to shop around. You can go 90% of the way through the booking process and see the price before you have to pull the trigger. Have fun on the vacation! I'm jealous. I'll be up all night with a newborn about the time you're sipping cocktails on the beach. :p

Hey thanks for the info. I mainly want to buy tickets because I'm not a good non-rev guy for vacation. I stress way too much, which defeats the purpose of vacation!:p

Have fun with the newborn man. Some nights you will sleep very little, but cherish it. They truly are a blessing, and you'll love every second. :)

I took the brief post down. The info is way to specific. Repost with less info, and no personal names. Cut the corporate accounts out etc. That stuff does not need to be on these boards.

I believe the "brief" was actually a letter from the LAX CPO to his pilots.

So sharing it on here is ok? Honest question because I don't know.

Thanks.

Sorry about that - I'll sanitize and repost.
