Quite true. Notice how calm the ALPA board is.
I am glad to see some senior people taking issue with the issues of today. |

It matters to all points. Once the flying is given away it is gone for good. The more large rjs the less for Delta Pilots. No matter how you slice it.
I think we all fear getting airplanes that can be parked in exchange for DAL getting airplanes we'll never fly. |

As Bar said on the other thread, the problem is scope is being used as a bargaining chip by DALPA.

Can somebody give a synopsis of NWA LOA 2006-10, 2006-14. I can't find it and need a little help. Details please! What's the current DAL MEC stance on this issue? Sorry if it's buried in the thread and I missed it.

DAL is getting 3 MD-90's in March
Source: MAT crew room white board While I'm happy to see the MD90s, it's aggravating to see more 76 seat RJ flying on former mainline routes.....but heck, we let the company have them, I guess they have to put them somewhere. Lastly, it's a shame to see how badly the company has screwed up the Shuttle. At one time it was a premium product and a cash cow. Ever since they moved control of the Shuttle from New York down to ATL, it's been downhill. |

If this turns out to be true... is it coincidental that the 90s became firm right after the 76 seat settlement?
Its highly unlikely that this is a coincidence. Please read the agreement. If the company knew for sure it was getting the 90's they would not have agreed to the settlement. If we take on the number of 90's being mentioned the company will be in compliance with the contract regardless of who's numbers you used. In fact without the settlement if the company had pressed on using their numbers they would have been allowed even more 76 seat airframes. With the settlement they have to use our numbers when the bring new aircraft onboard. One more thing. They have tried on 5 different occasions to close a deal with the Chinese. Every time we think we have a deal the Chinese change the deal. It is rumored we are very close again to a deal but so far we are 0 for 5. Lets hope this time it goes through. The numbers if we do the ninety deal are rumored to be a minimum of 20 airframes and up to 40. The initial purchase may be a smaller number but there will be a follow on buy. Delta wants a minimum fleet of 36 if they do this. |
will the 90's be fleet growth or will they get rid of older 88's at the same time. I know what I am betting:mad:

I've pretty much punted the DALPA board since it is slower than molassas, and frankly it is quite boring anymore.
