Look at fuel.
If you own it, keep it for a few years, or sell short.

Oil has been acting funny lately too. It's been making $7 jumps up & down.

Yes, but overall it is stabilizing. Add to that that may are so in the red that anything they can buy and sell to make a quick buck is the hottest trend for the day.

ACL,

Speaking with an Alaska bud of mine. Have you heard anything more about the Alaska purchase "rumor?" My bud says lots of Alaska guys are expecting it?! I know the economy is a drawback but sure would be a good way to get our hands on a lot of 737 (replacement MD-88/DC-9) aircraft?

Would the government allow it? And after integrating two massive airlines I wonder if it is economicaly viable to do it again over just having one heck of a code share.

The odds are that it will most likely happen. But not before they get SOC on DAL/NWA. To add another fish to the fryer right now would be disadvantageous.

just what we need, another seniority integration! This one went better than most, I hope we don't try our luck again.

Yes, and I have, and I will simply agree with DAL4EVER....

I think that DAL reports in the next week.
Look for a loss about 1/3 that of UAUA.

A few months ago they were predicting a loss of 300 million. It would be good if we hold to that.

Would that include hedging losses? I think UAL is predicting a $500+ million qtr loss WITHOUT accounting for losses due to poor hedging.
