What does that mean?

Remember you also get one "authorized personal drop a year". This will drop the trip with a much lower reserve manning than a normal drop. I am sure someone will pipe in with the difference in logic.

what is the pcs swap multiplier?

acl65pilot 02-20-2009 05:14 PM

It is a 1.0 or a 1.5. Scheduling can raise it to a 1.5 if it is a busy month and they do not want people moving stuff around.

I say that, and on the first run I got everything I wanted.

If you use your APD you cannot pick up any trips that touch the days of the originally dropped trip. It will also only drop up to 5 days and the coverage on those days has to be at least 25% of the min level.

I am not sure that is quite correct. I could be wrong about this, but if you use 1 day of APD to drop a trip, the only day that you cannot pick up is that day. IOW if you use an authorised personal drop on the first day of a 6 day trip, you could whiteslip a trip on the second. I could be wrong about that though... Thoroughly confused?

You are correct. You only want to show a APD for the days you don't want to fly. You can ask for just one APD day to drop a trip. The other days you can white slip.

Heyas,

I had heard that the purchaser backed out because of the economy, the 757 sale fell through and the birds are sitting in the desert.

Same result for the pilots, though.

We have a lot of 757's, 7ER's and a few 88's in VCV.

Look at the "Pilot Staffing Level"; if there aren't more "Available" pilots than there are "Required" on reserve, I'm pretty sure your request will be denied.

You can always try the "Swap Board" though. The sooner you put them up, the better. In any case, it's always best to try BOTH the swap board AND the leave board when trying to dump trips.

Thanks DB. I put them on the swap board as well.
