I hope you don't just look for progress of any amount. It's important to set your objective and measure your progress against that. Just saying you will "look for progress" isn't enough when you are digging out of a 50% hole. You must define your objective first. And if your objective is restoration, that "progress" is going to have to come in very large increments. There is no way around the math.

Again, I was responding to the tasks ahead for LM at national, not the local level.

You simply have to state it...then do it. Here's the problem, LM doesn't believe in this. He believes it's just business when one union's flying goes to another unionized group. That's against all that trade unionism has ever been about. Problem is, LM disagrees.

Carl; Our flying is ours, what the DCI guys do is OUR flying we have allowed to be outsourced and not flow by us. It is therefore completely our right to take the flying we outsourced and have it flown by us. Many of these "regional" carriers do not own any flying, and none have exclusivity like we do with the airline that creates, sells and markets our code. Big difference there.

Isnt it common courtesy to wait on another crew if you're first to the van and they just landed?
if there happens to already be a crew in the van awaiting your arrival then atleast thank them for awaiting your arrival.....f%#ing sky nazis

ACL,

With all due respect, if you follow our conversation back several posts it appears that we are talking about both national and local levels. I know I was.

What I want to see from both ALPA National and DALPA is a focus on restoration. That has been blatantly missing... especially on the DALPA side with LM at the helm. I see no reason why LM going to National is likely to help push it in a substantially different direction than what he did at DALPA. You know the old saying, "a leopard cannot change its spots"...

This article compares the largest 9 airlines. I was at first a bit surprised at AAI. It doesn't look like they'll provide too much help to WN in the NIM category. Although, it may mean that they really can't dump too many cheap fares in ATL or elsewhere or else suffer NIM erosion. Herb and Gary Kelly has always prided themselves on maintaining high margins. Also, hopefully this will give the AMR guys a bit of leverage in contract talks.

Depends, mainline or DCI? If it's someone calling me a sky N$@%, then I will probably tell the driver to wait until we see you coming out the doors, and then pull away. Fun for all!

Nor am I referring to the MEC level. I'll wager that if Moak's salary isn't basically cut in half, there will be hell to pay. No housing allowance.. no car... just like all of us.... We don't see that and I personally join the campaign for the removal of national. But basically since you didn't quote what you were referring to, I assumed it was the potential for Moak's success at national. I ran with that assumption.

AA pilots are traditionally known as sky nazis, FYI.

Western pilots used to refer to United as Marvin Mainliners... anybody know the history of that? I do have a fantastic story to go with it.. and I have verified it from two independent sources...
