Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Well on the 767 we set the elec hyd pumps on the pushback/start so we can set the trim at the gate if we so desired.

By the way, this is one change that both North and South guys seem to be complaining about. We are finally one big unhappy family!
You know, I am watching the video again right now for the 3rd time in 2 days. I can't see where this is going. Seems as though they need some help. What do we get for going into the training department to fight with the people in the training department to get things done in a practical way?
Oh wait. Carl already told us: A headache.

This is Delta Air Lines today:

It's actually a MD-90. But what is an MD-90? It's an upgraded MD-88 that was introduced in 1987, which was an upgraded MD-80 which was introduced in 1980 which was a stretched DC-9 first introduced in 1965- by Delta btw. So, its an old airplane that has gone from 60 some passengers and 12,000 lbs of thrust to 160 seats and 28,000 lbs per side. The cockpit has some fancy stuff mixed with some of the original. I think all airlines are like that.
Except the new ones, like say Jetblue who probably looks more like it's very own EMB-190s that are clean sheet designs with dual HUDs, all the avionics you could ever want, big windows and wider seats.
This is say, a Jetblue as an airline:

We won't ever be clean sheet and that's okay. There is a lot you don't want to get rid of from the old Delta and old NWA. So in time, with the right leadership (which we have) and the sexiest pilots (which the APC crowd is) we're going to go from 9, to 80, to the 88 (DAL pre merger) to 90 (post merger, especially in time) to those Saudi 90s or 717 cockpits (to future Delta), metaphorically speaking.
This is where Delta is headed:

Are you saying we are doing all this so we can fly B-717's?
yes, since we can never have E190s.
2 Eng Hyd Pumps, 1 Elec Hyd Pump & a RAT. It's been a few years, but I believe that is the set up. Also the Elec pump drives everyone crazy in the main cabin when it is turned on. Maybe a current 320 guy can chime in on the set up. Also the the F/A call buzz is the loudest of any airplane.

Is that the electric hydraulic pump I hear in the cabin of the 320, I thought it was the PTU. It is loud to the point of actually deserving a PA (seriously).
Looking at Icrew I did notice it says: CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT TOOLKITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP AT CHIEF PILOT OFFICES. TOOLKITS CONTAIN A PA GUIDE, SOUVENIR WINGS, AIRCRAFT TRADING CARDS AND CAPT CARDS (CAPTS ONLY).
But for sure FO's in ATL have been getting them. Why would it say CAPTS ONLY?

We probably crossed paths. I flew lots of Reforgers in the day (and spent untold nights stumbling around Frankfurt). How about these for names (staying with the flying theme, of course)?
