I think you make good points. In our case short fences make good neighbors and should hopefully allow us to integrate as a single pilot group, working for our common goals, much quicker than if we stared at each other from behind our respective fences and spent the next decade or so, spending our energy shoring up our fences or trying to knock the other guys down.

I'm optimistic and believe that if we focus our energy on pulling together and pressing forward as a profession to establish positive bargaining patterns and not allow ourselves to be distracted by those who live to divide us for their own political agenda or vendetta, that we'll do well.

She's the only intelligent, attractive, and rational one on the show, unless of course you follow the rantings of Whoppi. :)

Has anybody had a reaction to Malarone on this thread (the ALPA board is down)?. I took it three hours ago and leave for ACC on an 8 day tomorrow. Got some bad stomach cramping. Yes I did take it with food.

How come our contract doesn't have a provision to renegotiate pay by hour when the company changes the seats on the airplane. The MD-90 is going to have the same number of seats as the 737-800 with the new mod, yet the pay won't be changed.

I have never had a problem but have heard of some guys having stomach problems with it. If memory serves me correct it tends to clear up rather rapidly after a few trips to the bathroom

I found it interesting that Whoppi walked off the set when Bill O'Reilly spoke badly about Muslims but was quick to defend Juan Williams' remarks.

What's the link on the Crew Resources page for Nov short call times all about? It has a link for each fleet and base and says "coming soon." Are we just going to see the short call times they use or will we be seeing a system that allows us to bid for what time we get when we get SC?
