Cute, I have seen the TSA workers screened. I admit that I am not aware of the local procedures at every station, nor do I keep track of where I am when I see them screened, but there are many cities I frequent that have the TSA screeners pass though security upon arriving at work.

I know the TSA folks don't get screened at IAD. However, I did see Sen. John Kerrey getting patted down at the employee checkpoint. He did not look happy. Just shows the TSA guys are wasting their time on the wrong people.

I do not argue with that, it is that whole PC thing, which is funny since flying is not a right. They should be able to profile however they like.

After 10 years and a couple thousand dollars of alpa PAC support, I finally pulled the plug this morning. They obviously don't have the lobbying power they presume to, and apparently don't influence the politicans that might improve this career in any meaningful way.

Way too many disappointments in a very short amount of time to keep wasting what little disposable income I have left.

RS is for a reschedule or reroute. Do they give you the off day back? Go back to the trip coverage list from yesterday and see if they now code it as a yellow slip. If it does not show a yellow on your assignment and it does not show a yellow on your LOT, then you should get that day back. (It is a DH though)

Not to unlike another plane in the fleet that may get this work over.
That mod was poo-poo'd by the board in 2008.

I hear they are pushing for it again.

Dumb questions.

Im receiving my books for the 7er soon. I go to Deltanet and notice training material too. I am overwhelmed with all the info at my disposal and coming to me. To top it off, my MAC is outdated, HELP!

1) What should I study and concentrate on before class (CDs or CDs and Deltanet?)

2) How can I study the CDs if my computer doesnt support it? Buy a new one? Does DAL help pay for the new computer? I am old school and computer illiterate.

3) As an international category pilot, what is the gouge for phones, computers and/or media that I need to have so I can keep in contact with my family and still be able to access and train on Deltanet/LMS/CDs...I want to travel light and dont want to carry too many things.

Thanks in advance, you can PM me. Overwhelmed!

BTW, somebody brought up this person in a previous post << Roger Cohen, president of the Regional Airline Assn.,>><-----This guy is a fraud and aweful politician. There is a video on the Colgan crash and low pay regional pilots. He lies so much in the interview that his eyes shift and he blinks a ton. The reporter had a field day with him.

As I recall, the ROI was going to be achieved through fuel savings from the reduced weight and maintenance costs. The maintenance savings was big. They went from something like 27 line-replaceable-units to six. That also cut hundreds of pounds from the a/c. The mod back then I remember seemed very cheap at around $250k per aircraft. Do that to over 200+ aircraft and the expense up front is large. But the savings from the weight and mx, would pay for itself in 3 years. However, back then the NWA merger hadn't gone through and they wanted ROI's that were shorter. Perhaps now, they will look at the longer term savings now that these aircraft are here to stay till at least 2020.
