My point is that everyone on YOUR jet is subject to the same screening.

I see them walk through the metal detector all the time... and set it off. With no recourse. They are rarely actually screened.

Yup. Ridiculous. Biggest security hole in American aviation is the lack of oversight of TSA workers.

If folks who have to pass 10 year background checks, FBI, etc etc, have to be screened like the passengers, those conducting the screening should be subject to the same fate.

TSA Worker Arrested After Jokes, Fight About Size of Genitalia - FoxNews.com

A TSA worker in Miami was arrested when he "lost his mind" and attacked a colleague who repeatedly made fun of his small penis after the security screener walked through a high-tech scanner that showed his genitalia, according to Miami-Dade police.

I have never seen a tsa screener being screened. Ever. I know that ill never see a tsa screener having their private parts felt up. Quite sure of that. Be professional. Really? ALPA? That's what you have to say? For all the dues.... be professional? Well you've lost me here. Aren't YOU the organization I pay good money to in order to protect this.profession? I'd say this is an indication that ALPA is the one who needs encouragement in its charge. This development is not acceptable and I don't buy the argument that the tsa is saving us from ourselves. This is why I pay dues. This is supposedly why.ALPA PAC is so important. I'm thinking that at this point the money is better spent on more productive enterprises. Spare me the rhetoric please.

Spot on, flyallnite.

I've racked my brain, and I cannot think of a single time I've ever actually seen a TSA agent screened throughout my career.

Well, I guess you do not arrive at the airport before the checkpoint opens. I see those guys going though and getting their stuff screened all of the time. It is not every time, just the first time at the start of a shift.

I've waited on the tsa to open checkpoint plenty of times. Seen more shift changes than I care to recount. Never seen it. I see them ride the same bus, and bypass security en masse. I know there are checks for them. And planted informants. This is not about them. It's about us. We are being used as a political P.R. trophy with the full blessing of OUR union. Let me know when you see a screener having a public breast exam and I'll place bets on the outcome of the lawsuit. The system is broken, the terrorists have won, now who gets paid and who gets felt up?

I suggest we start a class action lawsuit entitled: "FUPM"

Felt Up, Pay Me.

I spent 30 minutes with a nice response to our new radiation vs molestation security procedures, but when I posted it, it said I was no longer online. Now it's gone - into cyberspace forever, drifting cold and lonely.

It was pretty funny. And well-written. Sorry y'all missed it.
