Ah, if only Joe had only stuck it out and finished college! Then he'd be leading the charge *****ing about mainline flying being transferred to the whipsawed connection carriers with the rest of us.

Like a wise man said once, "that degree ain't worth a crap when you have to hand fly an ILS with 2 engines out." He was right. If those of us who fly big jets had stood up and supported the regionals a long time ago, we wouldn't be in this mess now. But hell, we got ours, right? Screw 'em. Not in my world. |

Just curious, but what have YOU done to help the Midwest, CMR, Compass, Delta or any other pilot group? Or what has YOUR UNION done to help the Midwest, CMR, Compass, Delta or any other pilot group? Other than making a career flying for crappy, sub-standard wages and work rules. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
My point is to dispell the myth that we a true "brotherhood" and are looking out for each other....hogwash! I used to believe in that...then I saw the real ALPA.... |

I've flown with some great pilots who don't have 4 year degrees, and I have flown with some college educated guys who couldn't fly worth a cr@p... This is yet another reason the one list won't happen....Too many guys like you who think regional pilots aren't "up to standard"....It's hogwash.....but it will prevent any single lists... |

What does his lack of a college degree have to do with it, if in fact he did not? Some of the best guys I've flown with didn't finish for a multitude of reasons, but are tremendous sticks.

This webboard shows the true colors of DALPA and ALPA national. |

What did you and the ME pilots do for the pilots of Skyway? True colors and all.... |
No kidding, but, what has any of this got to do with the latest and greatest on Delta?
I'll start Joe his own thread, so he can stop hijacking threads that have NOTHING to do with him and where his participation adds nothing to the debate. (Or if you guys will just ignore him, he'll get bored and return to Flight Info to fight with Delta pilots there) To get back on topic, MD90's coming from far far away. Fleet replacement. _^_ .:D |

But hell, we got ours, right? Screw 'em. If those folks who fly the smaller jets had stood up for their own importance and their own profession a long time ago, we wouldn't be in this mess now. But they didn't. They needed to build time...to get qualified to fly for a major. A major that they aided in stagnating...thus ensuring less jobs at the majors. Carl |

Yeah, all we could do is tell the younger regional guys that they will pay a steep price for accepting 15,000 per year in order to build time. Most wouldn't listen.

Carl Carl, I love it how there is NO accountability on LEGACY mgmts part... it is the regional pilots fault for not "standing UP"! I bet you feel that when a guy gets busted for buying sex from a prostitute ...that is is the prostitutes fault! |
