Ah, if only Joe had only stuck it out and finished college! Then he'd be leading the charge *****ing about mainline flying being transferred to the whipsawed connection carriers with the rest of us.

What does his lack of a college degree have to do with it, if in fact he did not? Some of the best guys I've flown with didn't finish for a multitude of reasons, but are tremendous sticks.

Like a wise man said once, "that degree ain't worth a crap when you have to hand fly an ILS with 2 engines out."

He was right.

If those of us who fly big jets had stood up and supported the regionals a long time ago, we wouldn't be in this mess now.

But hell, we got ours, right? Screw 'em.

Not in my world.

Other than making a career flying for crappy, sub-standard wages and work rules. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Nothing...I gave up drinking ALPA koolaid many years ago...I am looking out for myself just as you are....

My point is to dispell the myth that we a true "brotherhood" and are looking out for each other....hogwash! I used to believe in that...then I saw the real ALPA....

Well they gave me a piece of paper after 4 years...It says Bachelors Degree on it....It didn't make me a better pilot, and it was really quite easy...I had a good time and made some great friends, but it really was a waste of time and money....

I've flown with some great pilots who don't have 4 year degrees, and I have flown with some college educated guys who couldn't fly worth a cr@p... This is yet another reason the one list won't happen....Too many guys like you who think regional pilots aren't "up to standard"....It's hogwash.....but it will prevent any single lists...

Well said 1515Greenlight....Too bad there aren't more pilots like you involved at the mainline level...A mutual solution could be arrived at with level headed folks like you...Unfortunatly, most of those involved are like the other posters here....

Cheers!

This webboard shows the true colors of DALPA and ALPA national.

You never answered the question posed to you earlier. Your silence is deafening.

What did you and the ME pilots do for the pilots of Skyway?

True colors and all....

No kidding, but, what has any of this got to do with the latest and greatest on Delta?

I'll start Joe his own thread, so he can stop hijacking threads that have NOTHING to do with him and where his participation adds nothing to the debate. (Or if you guys will just ignore him, he'll get bored and return to Flight Info to fight with Delta pilots there)

To get back on topic, MD90's coming from far far away. Fleet replacement.

Yeah, all we could do is tell the younger regional guys that they will pay a steep price for accepting 15,000 per year in order to build time. Most wouldn't listen.

If those folks who fly the smaller jets had stood up for their own importance and their own profession a long time ago, we wouldn't be in this mess now. But they didn't. They needed to build time...to get qualified to fly for a major. A major that they aided in stagnating...thus ensuring less jobs at the majors.

Carl,
I love it how there is NO accountability on LEGACY mgmts part... it is the regional pilots fault for not "standing UP"! I bet you feel that when a guy gets busted for buying sex from a prostitute ...that is is the prostitutes fault!
