Yep-cheap shot indeed. Also, what's up with the "Nah, nah, nah, hey hey good bye" chant from the fans? Probably the most tacky thing I have seen at a football game in quite some time.

Fairley was over the line on two hits tonight, the rest were legal but hard.
Haven't been to many big SEC rivalry games have you.....
Its common down south to display emotion against a true rival. Heard that and much worse from the crowds at places like UF, LSU, UT, MSU, UGA, and UA.
Bama's "post game" cheer when they win is:
"Hey (opponent)! Hey _______! We just beat the he11 out of you! Rammer jammer yellow hammer give 'em he11 Alabama."
REPEATED multiple times.
You're putting a lot of bourbon in about 90,000 people and then having them be a part of a highly emotional contest on the football field......

SSI is the company offering this up $80k per aircraft. Boeing was $900k per aircraft because they own the FMS vnav/ lnav profiles. SSI just interfaces with the FMS and does 62 re-configurations per second and let's the FMS keep it's algorithms. I suspect DAL is a bit nervous that SWA will get to do the quick NEXGEN visuals and DAL will be stuck doing 14 mile finals....

Anyone heard any word on the status of the cockpit upgrades for the 88/90?
Supposedly it was presented to the company week before last, but no work on whether or not is has been approved.
The rumor mill seems quiet lately...

But the briefing books point to getting all of the 90s including the Saudi's and get 717s which is supposedly the Board's agenda. Evidently from our friends over at SWA. Those pilots are hearing that SWA and DAL are talking about it already.
$300K per 88/90 to get new cockpits to allow a single category.
The most interesting number I heard is that you can get a single category out of the 717s/Saudi 90s and the current 88/90 configurations.. it'd just require each pilot going to training every 90 days.
Supposedly the vibrator will remain as the new 88/90 configuration would not include a new single screen backup att/hdg display. I know. Kills me. but if you silence it, please note, you're not the only one, you're not the first, and there is a group outside of DAL who is using the plethora of silenced vibrators they're finding as a where there is smoke there is fire thing.
The biggest story in College football this year is about to become
the biggest story EVER in college football and as far as we are
concerned will branch in two directions.
1. Major big name programs will be implicated in pay for play
schemes and it appears the FBI has been watching this for a while.
Rogers opened the door for them. it is about to get ugly. Very ugly.
Seems to be consensus that AU will not be implicated in this scheme.
2. Auburn is going to go on the offensive. The Newtons met with
the NCAA today in Auburn and I believe we will get a statement out of them/ Auburn tomorrow. A real statement, you know with some facts. Auburn is at least considering to (and may have) gone on the offensive already by retaining one of the biggest plaintiff's attorneys in the state of AL and the nation, who just so happens to be an AU grad.
IMHO, all we really know for sure right now is that MSU has significant booster issues.
And honestly, it'd take more than a scholarship to get me to go to Mississippi State too.
