Anyone heard any word on the status of the cockpit upgrades for the 88/90?

Supposedly it was presented to the company week before last, but no work on whether or not is has been approved.

The rumor mill seems quiet lately...

I have no idea what the Board had to say about it.

But the briefing books point to getting all of the 90s including the Saudi's and get 717s which is supposedly the Board's agenda. Evidently from our friends over at SWA. Those pilots are hearing that SWA and DAL are talking about it already.

$300K per 88/90 to get new cockpits to allow a single category.

The most interesting number I heard is that you can get a single category out of the 717s/Saudi 90s and the current 88/90 configurations.. it'd just require each pilot going to training every 90 days.

Supposedly the vibrator will remain as the new 88/90 configuration would not include a new single screen backup att/hdg display. I know. Kills me. but if you silence it, please note, you're not the only one, you're not the first, and there is a group outside of DAL who is using the plethora of silenced vibrators they're finding as a where there is smoke there is fire thing.

IRON BOWL HERE WE COME!
I'll show you something that's going around. It's not from the same Mr. Anonymous that keeps making Cam allegations that read "CAM ADMITS TO TAKING MONEY" and four paragraphs in you read the words "according to an unidentified source." It's getting old. But take a look and keep this one thing in context- Auburn's still playing him. If they later find that he was ineligible and Auburn had a hint of it and played him anyways the NCAA sanctions will be very harsh. Auburn knows something we don't.

The biggest story in College football this year is about to become
the biggest story EVER in college football and as far as we are
concerned will branch in two directions.
1. Major big name programs will be implicated in pay for play
schemes and it appears the FBI has been watching this for a while.
Rogers opened the door for them. it is about to get ugly. Very ugly.
Seems to be consensus that AU will not be implicated in this scheme.
2. Auburn is going to go on the offensive. The Newtons met with
the NCAA today in Auburn and I believe we will get a statement out of them/ Auburn tomorrow. A real statement, you know with some facts. Auburn is at least considering to (and may have) gone on the offensive already by retaining one of the biggest plaintiff's attorneys in the state of AL and the nation, who just so happens to be an AU grad.

IMHO, all we really know for sure right now is that MSU has significant booster issues.

And honestly, it'd take more than a scholarship to get me to go to Mississippi State too.

Can't answer your question other than I've heard nothing. But your screen name interests me............do you live up in OH? I grew up there and went to OHHS many, many moons ago. My father is still up there. Welcome to Delta!!

Sinc, I seriously don't think that'd go well.

Here is the thing about Auburn, for 2 years now I've watched players score and then scramble to hand the ball over to the ref's. They have had the fear of God put in them about not handing the ball over and running to the sideline. The defense however is being taught to intimidate. To be like an Earnhardt Sr. on the race track. It is what it is. It's not traditional Auburn ball but if every QB knows Fairley is out for your skull it messes with you. Also, a chop block can really motivate a player.

But think about it, if you see Ray Lewis coming at ya, whether it be on the field or in a night club in ATL, wouldn't you get scared?

REPEATED multiple times.
I hate that song.

I know a UGA guy that walked out of the LSU stadium a few years ago after UGA lost to LSU and he was still punched in the back of the head and hadn't said a word to nobody. I also remember losing to LSU in Auburn and having an LSU group of fans walk by and say "sorry for what's coming behind us." And it was pretty sorry, but whoever that first dude was he was classy. There are all types.

But I'd take SEC fans over those who burn and trash their city win or lose.

Sailing,

Yep? Give it a rest. (Disgruntled) North v. (Silent Majority) South is dead. With this issue, there is no yep.
Exactly... I'm a south guy, and I am not a national alpa supporter at this point at all...

alpa has no teeth. Is that what you are saying?

Carry that thought one step further...

DALPA separates from ALPA and morphs into something called DPA. This would likely result in UCAL doing the same thing. Now all the major airlines are aligned with CAPA.

ALPA has to change because now it is roughly a regional only (exc Fedex) union. However, ALPA also can provide fee for service specialized business unit (aeromed, etc). CAPA is the voice of Majors, ALPA is the voice of regionals. The conflict of interest is gone almost overnight and now you have two power houses that have to work in the best interests of their constituents.

They also have to work together on areas of mutual interest.

How is this bad?
It isn't... there is much fear about losing the security blanket... We all gave it up at one point in our lives.. this is no different. And besides, it's full of holes and smells really really bad.
