We got a new LOA number 26. Appears that they are going to redo the way we get paid. There are a few other changes. All and all, these changes are from resolutions that were passed at LEC meetings from around the system.
Reps will be briefed at this MEC meeting on the details as I understand it, but the change in the way our pay is dispersed will be completed by mid next year.

Do the ACLU and others who think it's racist to profile when a child is kidnapped, or a serial killer is on a killing spree? How would that go over?
Police are looking for a male or female of any age and color. Height between 18" and 7'. If you believe you may have seen this person or persons please inform local law enforcement.
But when it comes to spending resources to catch someone who wants to take down an airliner or worse, well then the sky's the limit because the paramount goal is to not offend anyone with evil tactics such as "profiling."This is the same organization that believes protesting at military funerals is perfectly acceptable.

Airlines Call on FAA to Withdraw ‘Onerous’ U.S. Pilot-Rest Plan
U.S. airlines called on the Federal Aviation Administration to withdraw its first proposed overhaul of pilot-fatigue rules in 15 years, saying the plan is too costly, onerous and defective.
The Air Transport Association, the Washington-based trade group for major carriers including Delta Air Lines Inc. and United Continental Holdings Inc., released its comments on the FAA plan today in Washington.

The word on the street is that the MD95 rumor is a good one - it would be a separate category, though, due largely to the overhead panel.
Eventually, 1/3rd of the MD88/90 fleet will be MD90's.
There are also several vendors involved in a bidding war on pimping out the maddog dashboard - looks sweet - all glass ND and PFD (I mean real glass, not what is there now), standby instruments are glass, and the flat plate is gone and replaced with a big-ass screen. Good for RNP stuff.
Seems as though the MDxx series is here for the long haul.
Eventually, 1/3rd of the MD88/90 fleet will be MD90's.
