Let's make a deal -- Give me an extra dollar in my paycheck and you guys can have every desk job on Virginia Avenue. For another 50 cents we will create a brand new position reserved exclusively for a former Northwest pilot: The Right Honorable Fleet Admiral, High Overlord, Grand Poobah and Supreme Allied Commander of Delta Aviation (but you gotta wear the hat) http://artfiles.art.com/5/p/LRG/12/1...tio-nelson.jpg |

Delta: Flight attendant union alleges interference ATLANTA (AP) -- Delta Air Lines Inc. says the Association of Flight Attendants is claiming the company interfered in a recent union election. The union narrowly lost the election to represent 20,000 Delta flight attendants earlier this month. Union officials immediately claimed the company improperly influenced flight attendants to vote against the union. Delta says the union is disregarding the will of the majority of flight attendants. The airline says the interference claim will keep it from matching pay and benefits between flight attendants who came from Northwest and those who have been at Delta all along. Delta bought Northwest in 2008. The National Mediation Board will look into the claims. It can either dismiss them or order a re-vote. I saw this coming from the start when RA and his in flight management team began campaigning against the union drive from the start. He'd have been better off to have said NOTHING. RA reaps what he sowed. |

I think there's just some frustration with this whole debate because the fDAL guys don't really care who the fleet captain is.

Anyone know what's up with the Maddog without a tail at the the TOC in ATLANTA? Seems like Its been there awhile. Saw it wrapped with plastic bags on the way to 26L tonight.
They do that all of the time over there. You will see 88's with their horizontal and vertical stabs off all of the time. No biggie. Probably reworking some of the components there. It is probably there for one of its scheduled checks. As far as I am aware the only check that is done by Aero Mexico is the D Check and that is done in GDL. This probably is just one of the phase items. |

American Airlines has been temporarily blocked from pulling its contract with Orbitz Worldwide, according to the Dallas Business Journal.
An Illinois state court judge blocked American from “eliminating Orbitz’s ability to offer the airline's tickets to customers, thereby pushing consumers to buy from American’s website,” the report said. Court documents indicate a disagreement between American and Orbitz has been brewing for some time, the report said. “For roughly two years, the online travel agency has been in discussions to renew or extend the full content agreement with the airline,” said the Dallas Business Journal. American notified Orbitz of its decision to terminate the agreement Nov. 1. Travelport, which owns 48% of Orbitz, filed a lawsuit against American on Nov. 5. |

Whatever Delta did or didn't do didn't really matter here. AFA has to file a claim. No way they can quietly accept losing that much of their membership. I predict the NMB rejects this claim before February.
