Small dog diverts big plane

A USAirways flight from Newark to Phoenix was diverted to Pittsburgh this morning after a passenger's small dog got loose and bit a flight attendant and another passenger.

Flight 522 from Newark carrying 122 passengers landed at Pittsburgh International Airport, where medical personnel treated the two people who were bitten.

USAirways said the passenger with the dog was supposed to keep it in its cage under her seat, which is the airline's policy. But she took it out and the animal ran loose.

Although the dog is small and the injuries minor, the captain felt it was best to divert the plane.

USAirways was working this morning to find other flights for the passengers headed to Phoenix.

Long over due, but great news.

It is long over due but great. I think I saw a white six plug charger in Atlanta at a couple of those columns near the gates. It is desperately needed in places like LGA where there are so few chargers.

FTB while chargers are lacking the bigger problem in LGA is lack of gate space. If we start adding charging stations we're just going to create more chaos as those iPhone users are all huddled around the charging stations like homeless folks around a barrel fire!

True... maybe have one of those towers in the hallway?

Speaking of serious lack of space, some of the gates in ATL have enough maybe for a CRJ200 and here we sit with 88s, 800s and 757s. Not much you can do about it but it'd be nice if it was more like DTW.
