Is there some sort of unwritten rule about where to put your luggage while jumpseating on DAL? I know what it says about deadheading and bags in the belly, but jumpseating says coach in overhead bins. Is this not the proper South ettiquette?

Give up the green slips, yellow slips and white slips for a year, than we would have some leverage...tom is completely correct.

When do you draw the line to bail ship?
It's nice to sit reserve in a fat category, but when they start to assign 10 SC a day, it's all a wash. |

Good news! I just saw the short call projected times list and it says they only need 4 a day. Why would they deviate from that and assign 10? There must be a mistake.
As we all know with a operation this big there are IROPS every day somewhere. With bases and categories all over the country they will flex on base (ATL and DTW 320) when another part of the system goes down. |
The green slips are flowing guys, I'm on number 3 this month and back doored Christmas off while in the process! We are uber short on the bus!

I leave them on the jet way ask for the jumpseat and then stow where they tell me to. I ask the Purser and the Captain where they would like the bags. If they tell me the bins are full, down stairs I go. When I DH I board early if possible and then try to stow them in crew storage, and or a closet. I generally will put the flight kit above my seat and my bag on a closet if available. If I have plenty of time from my DH to my operating flight and or I am going to the hotel, I stick the bag down stairs. If it is a International DH I put the bag somewhere in the cabin, as going down stairs to retrieve a bag can prove quite problematic. |
