That means he is circumventing the intent of the monthly max while taking trips that contractually would allow folks junior to him to improve their schedule, pay, or trip quality. They are the ones harmed.
There are other means to circumvent monthly maximums (swap board), but they're transparent and available to all. Parking limits the load to a few and provides those individuals with super premium seniority rights.

Honestly I appreciate you "fixing" my earlier post. Just a little fuzzy on how using swap with friends is a violation of anything or "harms" anyone. The swapboard system was set up by ALPA and has always allowed folks to go over the cap.
Howz about instead of leaning at this windmill, we put seniority back into the reserve system where it is clearly VIOLATED, actually allowing the company to "harm" pilots.

I heard this exact rumor today. The DC-9 MEM to ATL part came directly from a very reliable source that should know. The DC-9 MSP to ATL part came third person from another very reliable source that should know. It sounds like it's pretty much a done deal... just awaiting final approval. I also heard that the AE should be out within the next week or two. Looks like I'll be back to commuting to ATL on mostly RJ's.

Hey, MEM has been fun while it lasted! Guess I'll have to change my avatar. Latest word from the DC-9 fleet is:
A) MSP and MEM DC-9 bases will be closing and moving to ATL and DTW
B) May or may not happen on this AE. Fleet was told in December it would be on this AE, now it's "iffy".
C) AE will be out on the 7th.
