Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Reserve question:
If you are on reserve for 9 days straight they have to give you a 24 hour rest period somewhere within 7 days (overnight or other). Lets say they assign you rest from 10pm to 10pm on the 5th - 6th day.
Are you required to acknowledge anything while on rest? Specifically short call at 6am the day after rest? I know they have to give 10 ours for conversion to short call so think 8am would be the earliest if acknowledged at 10pm the night before.
Also, since you're not on an X day you wouldn't be required to check your schedule after 3pm the day before (in this case while on rest).
Is this right? Thanks.

you don't have to acknowledge rest to get it anyway, and after you check you sched at 3 the day before you start your first on, they have to call you for your assignmeents,.....except remember....you must check your schedule after every trip is complete while on reserve.

Few quick questions:
Just saw the 330 is doing DKR and LAD in FEB. Good, bad or ugly?
Looks like I will have to go on Short Term Disability for 2 weeks in Feb. (coming back Mar 1) Can I still bid the AE and will that effect my Profit Sharing participation?
Thanks

Anybody have an idea as to when the profit sharing may be out and how much / what percentage?
Did DKR out of NYC and we had a great time. Now the older hags out of ATL probably won't jump of the pier or get shiffozzed by the pool.

Obviously the Flight attendants fault for not giving the Capt a lid for his coffee...
United Airlines Pilot's Coffee Spill Forces Emergency Landing

A United Airlines flight from Chicago to Germany was forced to make an emergency landing in Canada after a pilot spilled coffee on the plane's radio equipment.
UA Flight 940 was carrying 241 passengers on Monday when the 777-200's communication and navigation equipment malfunctioned, prompting the flight crew to land just before 10:00 p.m. local time Monday at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
While the airline refused to confirm that spilled coffee triggered the problem, the detail was noted by the Aviation Herald , a website that logs incidents on commercial flights based on flight data and incident reports.
NAV Canada reported that the crew advised of communication problems, and then reported they had navigation problems as well. The crew cycled through the transponder codes for unlawful interference and loss of communication.
It said that the FAA reported after contact with the company, that the pilot in command had spilled coffee over the radio equipment which interfered with the communication equipment. He inadvertently sent an unlawful interference code, then changed to loss of communication code.
A replacement 777-200 was sent to pick up the passengers and take them back to Chicago, where they were set to board another flight for Frankfurt on Tuesday.

Buddy, I'm not a moderator, and I have more than a few infractions to prove that.
I could careless about a lot of things that are prohibited in this board.
Running off on a Red versus Blue argument tangent isn't something that should be allowed on this board, Ill give you that, but I'll stop short at saying discussing politics from time to time should be prohibited.
The airline industry is heavily intertwined with the direction the United States Government steers. The Government has a tremendous say in how the Airlines are regulated, fined, and overseen.
The economy is heavily dictated by the regulatory pressure and oversight from our Government. It would be impossible to not discuss the future of Delta without discussing the overall health of the American Economy.
Taking a Delta Pilot's Retirement money on behalf of a mismanaged Social Security program is about a relevant discussion to this board as they come.

This isn't my choice, it's the terms of service of this board. You agreed to those terms when you signed up here. If you don't like it take it up with the moderators and owners of this forum. You should probably take a chill pill too, you are going to have a heart attack.
Heart attack not a problem either.. I know more about mine than I should...

I see guys that have only training on their monthly line, for what seems very low overall credit. Is that all they get paid? One guy had 20 hours of training pay and then a week of vacation for 51 hours. Will that be his paycheck, or is there some sort of minimum guarantee. Also saw a guy that his training went to mid December and that is all he did for the month for 40ish credit. Seems like those would be really small paychecks.

I guess you miss my point. As a moderator you should know the terms of service of this board, and all these posts violate the terms of service. Is this board going to become just another red/blue garbage pit then please let us know. Since most on this board, including you, have a right wing bias, you let repeated violations of the terms of service go on. In the past, this type of post was removed immediately. So if this is going to become the "right wing airline pilots forum" then please let us know.
