You assume they have been to work?

Exactly. The roads have been jacked up for days. I practically needed ice skates to get to the pub on Monday.

Hey, I got paid for 48 minutes. Must be that super premium narrow body flying I'm doing.

Delta discount at Verizon? How did you manage that, they say nothing with Delta when I signed up 2 years ago.
I second that! I'm very happy with Verizon, also.

I've never seen them skip anyone for a GS by accident since it is all done by the computer. I'm not saying it hasn't happned, but if you get skipped for a GS it is usually due to something you have or have not done. Most of the time it is due to a conflict that you are not aware of or you forget to take some qualifiers out of the GS request.

Ya know, DAL has imploded because of this weather. I wonder if the technique of GS to staff will work now that we are so large.

Can you imagine what would've have happened to DAL had we NOT cut capacity by 20%?

What I find interesting is that, after a cursory look at all seats and bases, there is not a lot of open time for tomorrow. 23K really took the bite out of a lot of it. What will probably nip us, is the inability of those with trips to commute in for them. I can see that being the biggest issue for the next week to ten days as we move people that have been stuck here or there, or never even left their origination point. I keep expecting a reroute but I have not seen any yet.

Delta has too many eggs in one basket (Atlanta), and they know it and have admitted it. We need to diversify our hubs and our union I think should be pushing for this. We have MEM and CVG in idle when they could relieve the pressure off Atlanta. So when Atlanta goes down, the effects are reduced throughout the system.
