Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Not true. Company was very understanding and didn't want anyone to risk it if they felt it was dangerous. The company was also getting hotel rooms for people near the airport. I had training this week and they put me up in a nice hotel nearby so that I wouldn't have to drive. Things have changed here for the better.
Well Joe, that was not the case for at lest three of the pilot that I know.

You know that profit sharing is paid on an annual basis, right? That means a 2011 snowstorm won't affect 2010's numbers....

Based on the numbers management discussed at their investor's day in December and the reductions from the Christmas snow, I expect a check for about 6.5% of 2010 eligible pay delivered February 14. That's a wag based on pilots being 1/3 of the payroll and profit sharing pool being about $310 million.

When Delta started their great retreat to Atlanta under Ron Allen DALPA brought in the EFA team to show that they could keep flying at the other hubs and not transfer so many pilots. Sadly the EFA team supported the decision to increase the flying in Atlanta. They stated it was the economic driver of the airline. With the merger that data is dated but Atlanta has always been a great market. In addition if you move flying to other hubs you have to give up the gates in ATL and allow more competing flying and drive yields down.
Talked to a new hire in the hall yesterday. He said BB stated AE now in Feb. Small one with a big one to follow in May.
Good to hear...maybe that will delay my being bumped out of the bottom in the MSP 320B category with all the moves afoot. Don't want to do training again too soon.
