Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Don't let Carl hear you say that! They are blood sucking scourges working for slave wages to steal his 7th week of vacation.
Well, I just arrived at our "new" training the hotel in ATL. Much improved over the previous hotel. My only complaint is that the Wifi is EXTREMELY slow! Not much faster than dialup. This is going to be frustrating for the next 30 days!
Where is that AE you guys were talking about popping out this week? I'm getting anxious about this pulling MEM DC9's down to ATL rumor.

Delta has too many eggs in one basket (Atlanta), and they know it and have admitted it. We need to diversify our hubs and our union I think should be pushing for this. We have MEM and CVG in idle when they could relieve the pressure off Atlanta. So when Atlanta goes down, the effects are reduced throughout the system.
Not true. Company was very understanding and didn't want anyone to risk it if they felt it was dangerous. The company was also getting hotel rooms for people near the airport. I had training this week and they put me up in a nice hotel nearby so that I wouldn't have to drive. Things have changed here for the better.
Well Joe, that was not the case for at lest three of the pilot that I know.

You know that profit sharing is paid on an annual basis, right? That means a 2011 snowstorm won't affect 2010's numbers....
Based on the numbers management discussed at their investor's day in December and the reductions from the Christmas snow, I expect a check for about 6.5% of 2010 eligible pay delivered February 14. That's a wag based on pilots being 1/3 of the payroll and profit sharing pool being about $310 million.
