Heyas,
Shrinking pilot group, shrinking airline. As an APC sage once said "watch their feet..." Add up the airframes and the pilots and watch the trend vector. It's not looking like bright skies ahead. What I do see is a bunch of frogs (on flight pay loss, no less) sitting in a pot where it's getting warmer every day, and pretending that they're in a Jacuzzi. Don't **** on me and tell me it's raining. Some of us are smarter than that. Nu |
Easiest way to test MEC's scope resolve.
At an LEC meeting submit resolution that says, all domestic flying with Delta code in an aircraft with "Delta" on the paint job and sold by Delta Airlines will be done by a DAL seniority list pilot. Additionally direct LEC reps to request recorded vote on ALL actions taken on said agenda item. I have not included international because the current thread addresses holes in domestic scope wrt RJ's. Send that resolution to an MEC meeting (if it passes at LEC meeting). If it fails, you have your answer. If it is "RECEIVED", you have your answer. If it is TABLED you have your answer. If it is WITHDRAWN you have a bone to pick with your LEC reps and you have your answer. If it is EXPUNGED you have your answer. If it passes be happy with a caveat of doveryai, no proveryai (google it with Ronald Reagan) |

The way I understand it there were some key players that were involved in all of them.
Oh, your parting comment was a cheap shot, in my view. |

The anger is the fact that the union types continue to have their head in the sand in barely even giving this lip service. It continues to be ignored as a goal to reel this junk in.

We have some seriously junior guys on our new NC, & 2 are FNWA DTW guys. It's going to be a lot harder to get the camels nose further under the tent IMO.
The MEC is the issue, not the NC. Carl |

IMHO, now would be a great time for DALPA and DAL Inc. to amend Section 1 to limit the number of 20-50 seat aircraft (and 51-76 seats) to those currently operating under contract and limiting renewal to 2/3 of leases coming up for renewal, with a max of 4 years on a renewal.
That would slowly draw down the outstanding ASA agreements, giving realistic and reasonable timelines for the sub-contractors to find alternate business opportunities and allow DAL to spool up the recaptured flying on the mainline side. Carl |

The sad thing is that until you recognize a flaw, it's pretty darn hard to fix it... Carl |

Go to the Investor Relations portion of Delta.com. It's in the SEC filings.
