Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
T, what are you going to use for "all the other stuff" besides Jepps?
I was looking at something real simple, vs the Brenthaven bag that looks nice but real expensive.
May pick up this one or something like it at a Office Max or something

I dunno, I think I will still carry my Bombay bag..

TSquare,
One of the economic factors that make our outsourcing successful is the destruction of union members' longevity.
Yes, at the DCI Carrier I worked for, the President (a Delta employee) would come in to recurrent and tell us that we had to leave when we got 5 years of longevity, that we senior Captains (6 to 7 years) were "killing the airline."
Those who have not worked in the this environment, do not appreciate just what these words mean to someone from a regional, not to mention the 20 year Captain who is getting displaced to First Officer. They are quitting, just as I quit following the frustration of losing my Captain seat when two dozen jets were moved to a non union replacement group.
The political make up of our new hires is going to be remarkably different from those Delta has hired in the past. Most will have a decade of fighting whipsaw and understand why we need a union which pays reverence to its core principles.

For a straight PD (again unlimited) every day of the trip has to have more reserves available than required. You can check this in iCrew under the Open Time link.
You cannot WS on a day which shows PD or APD on your schedule. I think you can PD just one day of the trip which will then drop the entire rotation, provided coverage is adequate. You would then have PD on only one day of your schedule, and should be able to WS on the other days. You want to check into this before you try it though - I'm not 100% on this one.
It sounds like you may be able to accomplish what you're wanting to do by a Swap With the Pot request, which has it's own set of requirements.
You hit the nail on the head with this one.

Just came in from 4-8 Feb. My success rate was 50% but more at the end of the trip than at the beginning. They are nice. My guess is by Friday you will be okay, maybe bring a trip book just in case.
