Yep, and alot more going on than a JV. If we were attempting to just sign a JV with them, we wouldn't need the resources of Goldman Sachs to help us out. I read an article a month or so ago that had the tone to it that Sir Richard was going to bow out of owning a controlling stake so that he could allow VA to compete with the BA/AA JV. Said that if VA doesn't do something they won't be able to compete with that JV and if that meant selling his airline, then he would do it.

Not quite sure about the GS involvement. I have a feeling it migh be nothing earth shattering. I have a few sources there-curious to find out more. I think the focus is on LHR as it relates to Star and OneWorld. I also believe there is some strategizing over what EY and EK have up their collective sleeves. I understand LH is facing an assault from all fronts.

It can happen on the 767-300ERs, for weight and balance. Something about the additional people in BizElite make the CG too far forward, so they are given coach seats. There was something about it on DLnet, but other than that, no, if there are seats, they should get seats up front, assuming revenue upgrades are taken care of first. PSUPs are above non-rev standbys too.

No he realizes that he cannot compete effectively with the alliances and needs a dance partner. Do not forget that 49% minority stake some Asian airline has in VA. :rolleyes:

I have never seen this on an -er or a 757... ever. This lieutenant will take this one for action and find out if this is possible, but I highly doubt that it is....
