It happened to my cousin on a Buddy Pass, TLV-JFK. He was one of the last people boarded while I was watching on TravelNet. Left over BE seats, given a coach seat. I texted him and told him to ask why he wasn't getting one of the left over BE seats. He was told "something about the weight and balance"

Also, on the Travelnet Alert section, it says, on payload optimized flights, nonrevs might not be boarded or downgraded even though seats are available.

There was something published about this...Ah, found it. In the Northeast Region news, from Fall 09, it talks about ZFW CG limits, and how a Captain was wondering why a flight was departing with empty FC seats. Not payload optimized, not against any weight limits. Turns out, it was the forward CG limit. Any more passengers in FC would of put the ZFW CG out of limits.

Russia's Sukhoi has entered a bid with its Superjet 100 airliner to a request for proposals from America's Delta Air Lines for as many as 200 narrow-body aircraft, according to sources quoted by FlightGlobal.com.

The Superjet will be among five bidders for the Delta contract, including the Bombardier C series and Airbus A320neo.

The Superjet 100, marketed in the United States by Alenia North America, was awarded Russian type certification earlier in February.

Mexican low-cost airline Interjet ordered 15 Superjet 100s in January.

If I'm not mistaken TLV-JFK is a 4 engine aircraft.

Reserve GS Pay ?

I'm trying to figure out how to play the last few days of reserve this month. So far:

I'm up to 57 hours of credit.

I have 1 GS of 8 hours, which I'm told is single-pay NO credit above reserve guarantee.

The way I understand this is that if I do nothing else for the month, my paycheck will reflect 78 hours. My question is then if I fly another 20 hours of credit, bringing me up to 77, what will I be paid?

I will no longer be getting any reserve guarantee because my credit exceeded 70 hours. Does the 8 hours of GS just ride above my credit? Using my example of 77 hours of credit, would I now be paid 85 hours? Or does credit above 70 hours begin offsetting the GS pay, ie I still only get 78 hours?

I would like to think not, but just checking before I start YS the rest of my reserve days for nothing. If that's the case, I'll just lay low and hope the phone doesn't ring.

Does it come with those Russian flight attendants? Hubba-hubba.

I suppose that could be believable on one of the condo birds. I am pretty sure that thing is heavy. If it were a straight -ER though, I would still find it a little difficult to believe.
