Just because YOU would do one thing, doesn't mean everybody would do the same thing. That pilot had their own reason for dropping that trip and the swap board is what gave the pilot the flexibility to fix his/her schedule the way he wanted it without the company getting involved in any way whatsoever.

You are quite welcome for the clarification. :)

Believe me, I know how this works, but thank you for the contract lesson. And you believe that there is a significant number of guys that will go for a reduced line of time in the event they drop a trip.. really? With the number of people that complain about our payrates and whatnot will easily take a 30% paycut for the month and not pick anything up? Really? How senior are you?

Unless he PDs or calls in sick.... You have lost sight of the problem.. it is the reserve system.

a little off topic...does almost 1000 posts in 2 years mean my APC addiction is still under control or out of hand?

This^^ thank you!

And you are almost out of control. But like me, I am sure you can quit at any time... :D

This is not a patch/fix/solution for reserves. This is a stand alone fix for pilot to pilot swap board.

I disagree. This ultimately screws the reserves.

Fine, let's get rid of greenslips, yellow slipping on days off and any pick up above the ALV! Its all about staffing right?

Actually, it is all about staffing. Haven't we learned anything yet?

Completely insufficient. If you don't have enough to say, post pictures until you can think of something to say. Such as:

Why not go back to being able to sell ones vacation? I mean 4 or 5 vacation weeks? Who needs 5 vacations? Or what if you need some extra coin, how about being able to pick up trips on top of vacation to help pay the bills?

If you want the bottom 500 guys to be furloughed, I can't think of an easier way to accomplish that goal....
