On the ER can't the CAPT bring the nonrevs up to first after take off?

I had it explained to me as "must have used dpma"

On widebody its easy to exceed 300 in three years without going on ltd. You could probably do it with 2 sick calls each spanning two twelve day trips, but in separate years.

Another gotcha appears to be its not a rolling 36 month reset but rather only resets in June.

I believe it also applies to STD. At least I hope!

Sick pay being reduced after 300 hours in 3 years.

I'm sure others can come up with equally irritating items.

Your not going to see it fixed prior to the next contract unless the company needs something of fairly high value from us. Perhaps the Virgin deal might supply the opportunity. Absent something like that the company is not going to make a high dollar change pre contract. All the items in the SOT are for the most part no or very low cost. In some cases they save the company money.

That depends what the fix is...

I am NOT saying the old fNW system was better, but it would probably be close to cost neutral. I don't think it would work well at DL because the reset window is always in June and is not a rolling period. It would also involve DL agreeing that pilots can use FMLA without modification of the law.

P.S. There are other items higher on my list, but a deal with the company on Virgin smells of scope concessions. Count me out.

Maybe a system where you get PB days if your credit is under 75 and then once you hit 75 hours credit you get 2X pay for a GS without the PB days would work. I understand the issue if you are not getting credit in return for PB days, but when you credit over 75 hours then get 1X pay for a GS it's just working on your day off instead of your regular reserve day for nothing extra.

And whatever you do, do NOT run it under a black light. No reason. Just don't do it.
