Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Its pathetic that Delta pilots do not get paid until the damn Beacon is flashing. I've been at the gate with the door closed, full of pax, ticket on the line if S$#@ hits the fan with NO PAY because the beacon is not flashing. Who in DALPA ever accepted this deal?
At least :45 min pre & :30 min post pay each flight. Clock starts with main door closed... think most of the old North fleet is still brakes released / door closed = $$$.

If DALPA saved work rules in BK, then DAL had some seriously crappy work rules in the C2K contract.
That being said, I don't see how $$$ has direct bearing on QOL. If someone is living beyond their means, then perhaps more money would makes things easier. However, it's likely that if one lives outside of their means at a lower salary they will likely live outside their means with a higher salary as well.
For me, QOL is max productivity while I'm at work so I can minimize time away from my family. I dont want C2K rates plus inflation/COLA if there aren't improvements made to the work rules/vacation/Sec 23G etc.

But it doesn't make us feel any better looking at the end results...

If you have never looked at this web site I highly recommended it.
Airline Pilot News and Analysis - Scope Comparison
In addition to compensation there are a lot of other area that need big improvements. Delta's vacation pay is almost the worst out there.
Interesting is that SWA, UPS, and FDX have the highest hourly rates, with the best rigs, the tightest scope and don't use PBS according to the info provided.

Nothing has changed in the definition of how Delta pilots get paid in the last 50 years. We were always paid from pushback to block in. 1 for 2 and 1 for 3.5 are designed to protect and compensate for total time on duty and at work. They have also not changed in a long time. None of this had or has anything to do with the 1113 contract or LOA 46.

I agree.
I love the ability to compare.
Unfortunately the premise of comparing something as complex as a contract is beyond a spreadsheet with a couple of boxes.
Our contracts are so damn complicated sometimes even people familiar with them have different opinions on the meaning.
Pay, Trip-rig, Minimum/Average Daily Pay, Vacation accrual, Reserve days are easy to compare.
If someone can do this online, Mmaybe DALPA can put together a more thorough and valid comparison of the quantifiable metrics (including FDX, UPS and WN) prior to 2012 so we can do a little howgzit before negotiating.
Its all pattern bargaining after all, so lets see where we're at.
Cheers
