Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
North Dakota is where the oil is, 500 Billion barrels of light sweet crude is what they estimate. To put it in perspective, Saudi Arabia is sitting on 50 Billion barrels.

$250/euro per wouldn't last long. The world economies couldn't survive at that price. We saw the tipping point before at $140. All the monarchies in the Middle East are in jeopardy.
Maybe a cutoff of supply in that region would spur our government to allow domestic production...
Nah, not this bunch.

Why would you think I would be able to tell you what our body of reps would think. That is up to them and only them, through our input. BTW, National has nothing to do with what we deem single carrier, it is DALPA alone. If a court of law deems it, yes, it will be fought, but the reality is that by that definition, it is in violation of the language in our PWA. Contrary to what you think I have no idea what DALPA will do. I was stating that there is no conflict because they are not DALPA. Even if they were by pure definition there is no conflict. Nowhere in the ALPA/DALPA By-laws or policy manual would there be a conflict. Not even with the Ford-Cooksey settlement. Reality is that their flying is flown with our approval, and when that approval goes away, it is our doing. We just allow our flying to be performed off our list. It is not "their" flying.

Lets be honest here. There is absolutely no conflict with RJET, even with all of its separate certificates, and ALPA. All of the RJET pilots are Teamsters and there is no conflict fighting this one. No matter what you think of there being a boogieman at National or not, there is no conflict with this one. It came down to legal interpretation.
What has saved them in the past was the fact that pilots could not fly under one certificate on one day, and another one the next. Yes, they were under the same CBA, but they had to do indoc etc to pass to another operation.
I do agree, they do need be seen as a single carrier and given that status.
