Whats so hard to understand? Together Delta, the non existent RAHs largest customer by traffic, along with American, UsAir and CAL are all chiping in to help RAH grow Frontier/Midwest into viable stand alone competition. They do this by replacing their own employees with those who have zero, nada, zilch commitment to their airlines and using properties maintained by the lowest bidder of the lowest bidder.
And all of the union lawyers of the unions whose contracts are being violated are too afriad to question a judgement from years ago.
It makes complete sense: sell your people, rent part time replacements, build your competition, profit in the short run.

Yep-follow the money. It's in Bombardier's best interest that republic take these and future orders. There's big money working here.

What is going on? I have been called 5 times in the last 48 hrs for out of base greenslips.
ATL has not reserves and no more ppl to do GS's. They have two MAC trips sitting in the pot and no one to cover them. When ATL, the accumulator in the system dries up, people start getting calls.

Actually, it is better for Bombardier is a US Mainline carrier signed and order and then took deliver. Then they would not have to concern themselves' with a pesky scope clause.

Heard a few ramblings that the NYC slot/swap has been settled and should be out soon. Though I did hear that about 3 weeks ago, so I'm sure it's anybody's guess on how accurate that is.
You bring up a good point regarding the next AE, I am sure they have probably delayed it until the Slot Swap deal becomes official. If anything it shows that they are probably close to coming to a settlement on it.
Not sure how much hiring has been going on, but I get the impression it has slowed dramatically for the time being. I could see the summer schedule keeping most guys busy, maybe even a few GS here and there for some.
