Someone posted a cleansing video, of "Teenage Dream" Katy Perry(damn you Russel Brand). 80 did not deserve to view that video, so here is one just for 80's eyes only...

YouTube - GLEE - "Teenage Dream" Full Performance!

Ugh, I feel compelled to watch... Wish me luck.

From your statements of fact-based opinions, I can only conclude that you either have incomplete knpwledge of all facets ofthe TA, or you intentionally ignored them

Then by all means, complete our knowledge of all facets of the TA. Especially those facets that are so positive, it's worth working for a 3% raise until the next Section 6 / Railway Labor Act process is complete. Sure don't mean to ignore any facets that you think are important, so I look forward to your educating us.

It's not my fact...it's your fact. How could I possibly know that you are a Delta pilot unless you give some indication of who you work for? Doesn't change the equation however. I'm still hoping we can use the latest example of ALPA's handy work at FDX as a warning of what is to come here.

Remember, FDX makes BILLIONS per year. And ALPA pushed hard for the pilots to vote YES to a 3% raise. So much for the folks around here that state ALPA will go for the big money as long as the company is making big money.

Well.....Bless Your Heart.

Alfa, instead of ignoring Carl why don't you go master debate with him?

I agree. This dirty sophomoric work has to stop.

I'm going fishing.

Well, I think we all got to see what is in our future via what just happened at FedEx. With our brand new ALPA president at the helm, a Tentative Agreement was announced by the FDX MEC after only a few months of negotiating. Took most every member by surprise. Found out that it extended the current contract either one or two more years depending on the MEC's desire. In return, the pilots got a 3% pay raise. This from a company that makes BILLIONS in net profit.

The FDX MEC then puts out a massive PR campaign via road shows to convince the pilots to vote YES. Not educate them on the facts, but to vote YES. Results: TA voted in by 68%.

This is the new ALPA.

First, you don't need to constantly reiterate how much you despise Moak. We all get that, and it does little to further your argument.
Second, as you said, it was the FedEx MEC that did the sell job, so we really cannot blame Moak for that.
Third... OK.. 3 comments: There is nothing new about this.

You're probably now wishing you didn't - aren't you?

I want to know if 80 is supposed to be the lead singer or his boy toy?

T-

I suspect National was behind the sales job. I got to see a little glimpse into their communications program and it seemed to be centered around sales not communication.

Could be... I honestly do not know. My point was that this is nothing new to ALPA, and Carl likes to blame LM for everything that's wrong with the organization. I just think it is wasted effort on his part.
