Last Monday I got the OK to train e-mail. It's been a week and no phone call from Mr. Bolt. Does anyone know when or how far out he starts scheduling upcoming indoc classes? Has anyone ever called him and asked?

I'm getting anxious to start class.

Thanks

BFS

He's out of town until Mon. You can call him then by calling the 1 877 number you called to interview. Good luck.

Once you get your trng date established, do you get all the details then or by later email? And, if details follow, how soon?

Default Not sure I understand your question, but....

The class date awards begin with a phone call to welcome you, learn if you are available, and to answer any questions you might have.

Mr. B assembles each class looking at various factors including the class mix, candidates that were hired earlier and just got released from the military and even those who had to re-schedule indoc for medical or family reasons. There is not a standard formula to figure out when you will get called. It is a tough wait and covered extensively on this board.

I do not think calling in would change the outcome. Delta is not going to allow this process to be manipulated by factors outside their control. They know it is a tough wait and they were always polite when called for a status update, but if you have not heard anything it is good news and calling might bring up your name more than you want it brought up.

Once you get your aircraft selection and bid the training department develops your training footprint you will have your schedule for the next six weeks, or how ever long it takes to get you to your checkride. You will probably have this schedule by the end of the first week of Indoc.

I want to echo what BB said. Calling and asking is not a good idea. It will not change when you are going to get into class, unless you pi$$ someone off and either end up in class later or not at all. They have a process. Let the process work. If you have been offered a job you will end up in class. It's a tough wait, I know, but be patient and let the process work.

Nope, This is not the process. Someone may "walk your stuff in". That is pretty much just having them go to the 4th floor and letting AK or Brian know that you are a good dude. They might look at your app. Other than that, I do not know of any other special ways to get your name out there.

People are "pre-screened" by folks in the CPO every week. I was standing upstairs by the door to the ATL pilot lounge just last week talking to a Flight Ops Manager as he was waiting for someone coming in for a pre-screening. I also had a pilot on the jumpseat a couple of months ago who was flying down to try and get in to the CPO for a pre-screening.
