Is the different rate shown on the time card? Sorry if this has been covered - didn't see anything about it.

It was really nice though - very, very quiet. 160 seats, 168,000 lbs MTOW...world's heaviest DC9.

88 (90) A, ATL

You can check on Icrew -Pay/Hours - Pay Statement

Should break up 88 and 90 flying totals for each rotation flown.

Jesse and Justdoin;

Are you guys grads of the Citadel? If so do you live in the Lowcountry?

According to section 4 C of the contract a reserve pilot gets paid his guarantee at

"the hourly rate of the highest paying aircraft model that all pilots in his category may
be required to fly in the bid period, ..."

I believe I read somewhere that you can get your sick leave balances renewed after being off on STD/LTD by writing the CPSC. Anyone know where I can find that info? Thanks

Another bit of VMI history is that They were the only School actually involved in fighting a battle.

The Battle of New Market :)

of course check out this rifle from that battle. I saw this as a kid and remember thinking, wow, that couldn't have been good?

That was there claim to fame but their is a caveat:
On 15 May 1864 the VMI Corps of Cadets fought as an independent unit at the Battle of New Market. VMI is the only military college or academy in the United States to hold this distinction.
I think the distinction is to fight as an independent unit?

So as of 01 Apr, all 88 pilots in ATL on reserve are paid at 90 pay rates? I'm not trying to make it difficult, but I never connected those dots - good to know.

DH, thanks for the quick answer.

I believe so - at least from my reading of the contract.

Section 14. Subject to Section 14 D. 1. b. and c., a pilot who commences a medical leave of absence on or after June 1, 2006 will have his full pay sick leave hours restored when he returns from disability, if he makes a written request to his Chief Pilot within 30 days of his return to active payroll status. A pilot may use this provision once every four sick leave years (e.g., a pilot who requested and was granted this restoration to be effective on June 1, 2007 may be granted another restoration due to a subsequent return from disability not earlier than June 1, 2011).
