Lifted from our favorite airplane porn site, here is a breakdown of departures on a thursday once the summer schedule goes into effect (apparently June 30). Try not to be sickened by the amount of RJ's vs. mainline. It's ok because we are parking them in droves, right? Interesting stuff:

LOL little friskies. OMG. Haha!!!
Anyway all we have to do is strictly start enforcing carry on rules. We could go one step more and put little numbered dividers in each overhead bin. No fit, you pay. We could have sections with larger bins for our HVC's in coach (with maybe more legroom, etc). I'm all for upping the quality of our service. Honestly, our coach product isn't the best or the worst, but it NEEDS to get better if we are to be the global airline of choice. And we need to be able to target and win the riff raff just like we are fawning over the HVC's because the riff raff is non negotiable. You can't run an airline without them. However the "extras" and improvements we need to start providing don't all have to apply to everyone. We need to up the coach product if we want the chance of creating brand loyalty, but we should absolutely collect revenue from the dot com cheaper by 2 cents I don't care who it is crowd, because they have no loyalty to begin with. |

Anyone jumpseating on American these days? I thought I read somewhere that we now list on the AA website (vs the non-rev phone #) as a sort of ZED listing but I can't find the info anywhere.
Only need to use them as a back up. But, of course, as a back up I won't have much time with a stressed out agent if I'm not listed anywhere. Ferd They were going to do this but it got nixed at the last minute. Still call the meal list number. It will work for the time being. It was discussed in the Code-a-Phone two weeks ago. |

I'm seeing more of that these days. Had a flt attendant just the other day who was hauling probably 150 pounds of crap on a turn-around. She explained it the same way. She was a commuter. She backs up all her trips and comes to Atlanta only once or maybe twice a month. Has no crashpad. Uses the lounge to sleep. Eats canned tuna. (or it might have been Little Friskies) Pretty ridiculous. Not this. ^^^^^^^ It seems like you guys are being a little insensitive to me. |

Yes, this is correct. Max WS pickup is ALV+215. This holds true for Regular or Reserve pilots.
Now what guys do, do is Green Slip vay above ALV. What this restriction does, is it limits guys from being their own worst enemies and picking up a ton of time. It means that if the company wants to thin staff a jet, they will be able to cover all of the flying, but though the double time green slip process, and not the straight pay process. It gives economic incentive to correctly staff each seat.

You would probably get a quicker answer on the DALPA forum. That said...
The "pickup limit" ONLY applies to white slips. So if your pickup limit is 12 hours, you can only white slip a trip worth 12 hours or less, end of story. You may however pickup a Pilot to Pilot Swapboard "pickup" (same word, but completely different animal than the WS pickup limit) without regard to the WS pickup limit. You may also Swap with the Pot to FAR limits. And that is how guys get the high time months you were referring to. Thanks guys. I hate going on that forum, because no matter what the question is, it will turn into a food fight. This place is much quicker anyways..... :) |

I have jumped on spirit a couple times lately and this is exactly what they do. They charge more for a carry on than they do a checked bag.
Because of this they can turn an A320 in about 20 mins. Boarding is very smooth. It is amusing to watch their operation. They are absolutely unapologetic about the fact that the passenger only paid for a "prereclined" (meaning no recline) seat from A-B. Everything else is an extra charge. As a nonrev it is great. There is never any fighting for bin space! BTW Spirit: A319 - 145 seats!! A320 - 178 seats!! A321 - 218 seats!! |

We have already lost the battle, the rank and file just dont know it yet. |
Side Question:
Tomorrow is my last day of reserve before going into days off. Can they knowingly fly me out of base into days off? |
