There is a group of about 14 folks who have job offers but who weren't able to get into class. They extended the offers once already and I think they were about to extend them again. I do know they were to receive a letter about what was going on, to include SD's remarks from 4/29 but as to the other things I don't know for sure.

We are offering buy outs and who knows how many may take it, but with the FT/DT rule change and the new drop in oil, I don't think anyone really has a long term plan that's set in concrete. Kinda carved in mud.

To me, yes or maybe! maybe not? How do you really know? Are you going to ask? I mean if she can handle herself, surely she can handle sitting there for an hour or two, maybe 4, right? Well, no... well, maybe. I mean when the time comes, I want her to be able to perform, wouldn't you? But maybe 15 is too young, especially with everyone watching and chances are they've never done anything like that before.

And just in case the government asks you did you ask if she was 15 then you can say yes, I asked, she said she was 15 and in my book I think that's A okay.

I'm sorry, I meant to say is 15 legal to sit in an emergency exit row?
FTB,

Don't you have a daughter now? As a dad with a 15 yr old daughter, I can assure you that 15 IS NOT legal. At least not according to my Smith and Wesson!

Frankly, I'm trying to figure out how to keep her from dating until she's 29 or so. Of course, she says something like DAAAAD! With as much whining and exasperation as she can muster, and if there is anything a teen girl can do well, it's drama!

- thanks for the Saturday morning laugh. Now I've got to clean the coffee off my computer screen.

I feel for you, really I do. As a father of 4 boys, 2 of which are exactly like me, I feel for you...

It had to do with international cuts, recall bypasses and mil leave people coming back or something like that. I didnt think that Delta even had a pool so i called B.S. Have you guys heard anything?

LCA I flew with last month said they were told we'll be hiring in the fall. Would think these guys would still be at the front of the line.

Me too...I have a 15-year old daughter, same thoughts. Plus 3 daughters after her. And I'm not even a fighter pilot! I think as his baby girl gets older we'll be seeing fewer scantily clad women from FTB as he begins to get scared of boys (like himself!).

Although I would love a daddys little girl I am very thankful for our one boy. My biggest fear is keeping him from being a co-star on that stupid teen mom series on TV.

Is it unethical for a 12 year old to have a vasectomy? They are reversible(ish) right?

True or Not? From a different forum:

"My buddy in the hiring pool (all 8 of them) just received a letter from the pilot hiring manager yesterday stating zero hiring until December 2013. His conditional job offer expires in August and he will have to re-interview, the whole process. 4% reduction in domestic flying. 8-10% reduction in Atlantic flying. 243 pilots on recall bypass who 90% have indicated they will return in December, which is the 10 year point from the initial 9/11 furlough. Around 800 are actively on mil leave and medical who will eventually return as well. Wish it was better news."

December 2013? That's 2.5 years from now. Hard to believe the authenticity.
