Nothing like checking my schedule at 2:30 on my last x-day to see long call only to check it right now and see an un-commutable short call in the morning. Reserve blows at this company.

I did 8 reserve days this month. Sat 3 am short call followed by a long call followed by a 3-day trip. Did a 3 day trip my other 3 days. I actually bid next month. I bid to have every single weekend off. I think having weekends off is the trick. I don't even care about weekends, but I'm tired of getting abused.
Weekends off reserve is a whole different life than weekends reserve. It's the difference between flying 40 hours and barely sitting any short calls to getting nailed at every inconvenience. |
