Conversion Timeframe

Question...

If you are only changing bases, not equipment, with an AE/MD/VD, does your conversion date typically become earlier despite your seniority due to the fact that you don't require any training?

About 100 more folks came out of the woodwork since last week if you are 8000+ for the ATL 330 B.

Standard disclaimer about qualifiers. My guess is the cutoff for the B seat, bottom reserve, will be in the 7000 range.

I guess my campaign of malaria and tails falling off didn't work. Did I mention the airbus takes the pilot out of control of the airplane? Oh.. and it's built in France (and other sketchy, commie countries in yurop). It is not a freedom airplane!

Actually that has been the Delta MO for quite some time.
AA went out and did the winglet mods on one 767 to get it certified, once it was Delta quickly put them on most of the fleet.

All I'm saying is there are 121 airlines using iPdas below 10K as replacement for charts, it can be done.

Own ship on a 10-9 will still require Ship GPS position input via 30 PIN dock connector, the FAA won't sign off on the built in GPS because the iPad antenna can loose GPS lock inside the cockpit...

We should be aiming for 6:30 per day like our brothers and sisters have at SWA. Pay for every day you are on the road.

Then we inform the company negotiators that is their opener, and we go for 8 hours a day and "compromise" somewhere in between. SWA is the floor. Period.

Why would that be such a big deal? Simply do the iPad with full company manual/pubs and Jepps without 10-9 GPS, just like we do now with paper. Then in a few years when the absolute perfect solution comes along, switch to that. I don't get the logic behind we can't have a massive 95% improvement without the 5% we still want so we won't take any of it.

I guess this is a stupid question but I'll ask it any way. Why on earth would the company spring for ipads if there is a full set of manuals/pubs and Jepps on board? To me, it would be redundant and not cost effective to have both. Why not just wait until the "perfect solution" comes in a few years and then switch?
