Nice.

Wait, what?

I didn't see the obligatory smiley face or the [/sarcasm on] thingy either. Is this for real?

An oil painting? Like the famous one of Kramer, only with an epic mustache of justice airbrushed on it? Shirley, are you serious? A freaking oil painting?!?! LMAFO OMMFG WTMF!!!!! Srsly? I forgot to take my anti-gullibility medication this morning, so please tell me you are kidding.

An Oil Painting? A "mandatory" oil painting? I'm freaking crying from laughing so hard at this even if it isn't true, but sweet Rebecca Black if it is that is the funniest thing I've heard in 2011 by far and that includes The Onion's piece on the Attractive Girls Union and anything from autocorrect or icanhazcheeseburger!!!!

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!! OMFG make it stop!!! An oil painting!!!!! That is so stupid it can't possibly be true, yet I can almost see it being true!!!!!

Default Stock price

Ok, according to the latest Alpa rag, Airtran stock gained 109.8% from May 2010 until May 2011. During that same period DAL stock declined 25.8%.

Hey ACL, what happened to your $20+ prediction for our merger to end all mergers ?

Regards......

Buzz,

Did you not see my earlier post where I guessed 174? Well, actually it might have been 175. Hmmm, now that I think about it maybe I just dreamed the whole thing.

Scoop - trying to pull a quick "price is right" adding 1 to Buzz's guess.

Fed, what can I say, Delta has taken longer to get the stock rising developments out of the box. They are severely undervalued. I said 18 by Dec but that seems a long way off.

It appears that the government and Wall Street do not like Ma Delta too much. ( oil and the earthquake did not help either)

Buzz, I know you're in Cali but lets dispense with the talk of old guys pulling out their packages.

Talked with a very senior 744 A last night. He put in his papers but will wait until the 14th to make his decision.

For a lot of old guys, pulling their packages is all they have left!

I used to ride the freighters a LOT to get to work and am bummed more than many that they are gone but I hear a lot of folks trashing DAL mgt for doing this when I am of the opinion that the freighters course was set in motion years ago. Even had a chat with a few former middle cargo managers from NWA a couple of years ago who were still trying to keep it around and they were of the same opinion. Also the crews said that after the mechanics were driven out that the reliability fell so the DHL contract was lost, and this started the fall into history.

Not trashing the freighters, they were a valuable business unit to NWA for many years and in my eyes would have continued to make mucho dollars for the combined entity had it been managed properly, but I constantly hear DAL mgt getting trashed for things such as this when many managers from NWA are still around and making decisions too.

NW had been reducing their freight operation for a long time. With the almost total collapse in the far east freight market when the decision was made its more the probably that with or without the merger the 747-200 operation would have been shut down. It was about economics not a result of the merger.
