Beat me to it Elvis, I was adding the same post. I'll also point out that is the real reason the attitude indicator is on the far right......so you could look at it and see the other instruments "through" it. True, actually found it in an old Cessna or Edwards document (cant remember which) when I was on the ATC Stan Eval team.

Tweet IPs also had to take their instrument checks from the right seat looking cross cockpit. To this day, I'll watch the Capts instruments when I'm the PM, old habits die hard

1150 hours? Pu$$y!! 2300 something in 3 tours, mostly spinning

Ferd <---spin demo IP at Willie, Randolph and Sheppard. Giving my identity away, oops

Ok, I give up. The Hawg wasn't going to do anything at 35,000 feet that involved the gun, it could barely fly there. I only saw FL 290 and that was pretty dumb. If you weren't using the gun, the washing system wasn't needed at 350, so what was the test about?

GF

800 hours of Hawg time, very little above a 5,000 feet except for translants.

Yup!! You're giving your age away Ice.....

Hey look at the picture for me. Isn't the RMI and the compass backwards? I remember that funky compass as bottom right closest to the IP so we could use it as a heading bug.

I was a controller at Columbus in the late 70s and a Tweet was RTB with 2 IPs and gear stuck up. Wing Com, DO, and one or two more Cols were along the center runway (in their staff cars) in the area where the FD formed the runway for the gear up landing. Guess the IPs forgot about the loss of drag with the gear up and touched down just beyond the foam in a shower of sparks. Really did no damage but I'm betting they were buying that evening!

Wow...you definitely win. Great experience for myself and a big confidence builder...although I did puke during PIT at the end of my spin ride, at the perch ("you have the a/c", I stated, and proceeded to barf), after 6 different 20-second spins at Randolph; caveat though, I had the flu the previous week, then first ride back was the spin ride!

The Airbus is much more of a "gentleman's airplane".

They wanted to test the washer in sub-freezing temperatures, and that was a quick way to do it. I think the residue problem was eventually solved by changing the "gunpowder" formula. We did lose one A-10 when gun gasses caused a double engine rollback at low altitude.

Vacation moveups are processed only once a month, sometime between the 1st and 5th of every month. They are posted by the 5th of every month. If you just put the moveup request in, it won't be processed until after the end of this month. You should know by the 5th of next month. If you don't get it next month it will remain active until you pull your request or it becomes moot.

I think for October your last chance to get it will be by Sep. 5th.
