Much of this will undo the MD's off the 744. Now the 330, that is a different story all together.

Why would they MD? Wouldn't it be easier to just stay fat?

Go look at the last AE, there are a bunch of MD's that will now get reinstated on the Early September AE. As a result a lot of training from this AE will not be realized. As for the 330, it just leaves a larger hole since the MSP 330 is closing and they did not award all of the SEA 330 A slots. That is where you will see a lot of movement.

If it helps sw not be the big kid on the block, i'm sure you would get plenty of folks to freely disclose. Why not? It helps them in the long run. As it stands now, DAL is near or at the top in most every category. Hourly pay rates are pretty meaningless. W-2s aren't.
Speaking of w-2s-Apple just reported $28 Billion revenue for the QUARTER.

There is an app for that. Seriously. You'll be amazed at what your kids will teach you about tech as they work their way through elementary school.

Tell ALPA to send it to my daughter. Sure she would do some consulting work for them and have it done between visits to Club Penguin and Disney Channel.

They can pay her in iTunes credits and gift certs to Aeropostle and A&F. Bet they could get her services even cheaper if they take her download wish list and send it directly to Po. He'd do it for free and send her the thumb drive direct.

No FPL to have some other guys do the same task over several months. :D

I agree completely. It is the hourly, rigs, and rules that give the W-2. That is really the comparison, but also the hardest to get. Now of course ALPA has all of the W-2 data from the alpa carriers for dues purposes, but places like LUV, and UPS would be more of a challenge. Not a huge one, but not a computer request.

Anyone have an answer to that question?
They made the stock quote link to an internal DeltaNet page.
Can we no longer get to the Internet on lounge computers?
There's gotta be a way.

I bet you can do it of the "You Decide" links.

I've figured it out, but it won't work "exactly" the same way every time. Click the oil prices link, get to the Bloomberg site. Go to the "more" link and use the drop down menu to click the businessweek.com link. There are ways to get to yahoo or google from their page, although it may be a little different every time. Sometimes a link to a news article will get you there, I've used the AT&T advertisment on the page too. Just play with it, you'll figure it out.

Bored today, so I was curious how the reserve guarantee at Delta compared to various carriers.

From APC:

AirTran - Long call = 75 / Reserve = 78

Alaska - Long call = 75 / Short call = 79

American - 73

Continental - Long call = 72 / Short call = 76

Delta - 70

Hawaiian - 75

JetBlue - 75

Southwest - 79

United - 70

US Airways - Long call = 72 / Short call = 76

Anyone at any seniority could be on reserve (by choice or not) so while reserve probably only affect 20-25% of our pilot group, as a whole, it could come into play for any seniority number on the list. Looks to me like we are at the bottom in terms of guaranteed reserve compensation.

I have been on reserve 29 bid periods. 20 of those bid periods, I have failed to break the reserve guarantee (as adjusted for training and vacation compensation). I would wager that those numbers are probably similar for the rest of the pilot group. I'd say the floor of the reserve guarantee is too low for the 18 days a month that we are responsible for being on call. For the next contract, I hope that we can up the guarantee or reduce the number of on call days that we have.

Just food for thought.

70 is too low, no doubt, but I could stomach it a little better if it was only long call. I'd hate to see a system where a junior guy got stuck with short call all month, so I like our mix of long and short calls. I just wish there was a bump up of the guarantee for each short call period. Not only do we deserve it, but we need the financial disincentive to keep the company from putting a ridiculous number of guys on short call just because they can. We also need to fix the disparity in short calls between domestic and international. Hopefully the new rest rules will fix that for us, but I'm not holding my breath.
