Oil futures are going below $80/barrel. Delta will be making a lot on its unhedged fuel consumption combined with the capacity discipline. 49% of fuel was hedged in the mid-80's. I know there was an article about the "crack spread" between oil & jet fuel, but that will catch up. I think this will bode well for a future contract.

on the 88 in a slow month the weekend guys were getting abused but the weekends off guys weren't being touched. you could have 25 required and 60 available during the week and 30 required and 0 available on the weekend. but thanks to the overactive weather this summer, which I am thankful for, a 0 raw score lasts about 15 minutes on day 1 versus 15 days. And that's with over 100 guys on reserve for the month. |
