And boy did that varsity comment go over like a lead balloon. yikes.

I was referencing (too vaguely, though) the way DTW is set up where on the B/C side you had all the regionals and on the A side looking across the ramp you had all the mainline jets. It became known as the "JV side" or the "Varsity side." Take that joke a bit out of context and you have some very angry people in internet world.

I never saw anyone wearing letter jacket, but I sure do have a lot more buttons on my jacket than I expected.

"Had" is the operative word. Now everyone is parking on A. At least the 70 seaters have practically taken over the northeast side. Is nothing sacred anymore?

Delta has already set a precedent for cutting the flight bennies of an ALPA group - Comair.

In 2009, Delta took away our 6 annual S2 days, and knocked our S3 priority down to S3C.

ALPA complained that this constituted a violation of the status quo - but it blew over after about a week.
