I just heard on CNN that there will be high tide when Irene hits NYC. The reporter said they are expecting major damage to LGA and JFK. Really?

I am reading the "capacity neutral" as the number of seats is supposedly going to be the same, not the same number of aircraft, as some have eluded to here. Probably won't matter, as I think the statement was just to keep Wall Street happy.

Great point. And for someone to state with certainty that an aircraft delivered in 2018 will be capacity neutral...well I want their crystal ball! We can't even accurately forecast demand or total production costs (jet fuel prices) 7 months out, much less 7 years out.

So any intel on where these acft are going to base? There is already hints via FO updates of a 737 base in DTW, and MSP and DTW have lost the most NB flying with DC9's going away.

DTW 737 all infers CVG 737 closure, and whats the plan for MEM?

Of course who knows about JFK/LGA with the slot swap, although we don't know if thats going to be any mainline flying at all
