Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Hey, look, I'm not trying to argue with you. It sounds like you're probably technically correct. I just remember that, when I first got here, we definitely referred to the first few years as a B scale and I'm pretty sure the pay rates were much lower in the first few years and then jumped substantially up at some point (maybe 3 to 5 years?) to more "normal" rates. Then I remember everybody being excited (and I'm pretty sure I remember some official communications) when it was announced that we had finally eliminated this "B Scale." But that was like 13 years ago and the alzheimers is kicking in now
... or maybe I just dreamed the whole thing up!

This is almost exactly my recollection too. I'm not trying to argue about it either...so Slow, sorry I said you were wrong. I do remember it exactly like dal 88 does tho.
Touchdown Baby!!!

does that button say I (heart) U or AU? Either way, she loves what I love- ME- or Auburn. I can't lose.
I'm going to have to go back and look again. The B-scale elimination was one of the major selling points of Contract 1990.
Edit: B-scale was reduced to 3 years in C90. It was eliminated in C2K. My apologies for the error.
This does support Sailingfun's argument that there has been a lot of money thrown at what can only be considered junior and profession issues. Eliminating the B-scale didn't help senior guys one bit. Raising entry level pay and modifying probation didn't help senior guys. Targeted DC didn't help senior guys. Yet these same senior guys (many no longer here) get lambasted.

C96 didn't help senior guys?
Anyway, junior or senior, we all know we are working more for less.
There are a ton of deadzoners at dal, there are a handful of retirement healthy senior guys. How can we help to push them (off the cliff) I mean out the door?

PS this also validates my and 88's memory. We are all correct.
It says AU.. as in gold.. as in golddigger. Boys.. run from this one, you cannot afford her.
