I still don't understand why we don't do point-to-point? The MD-88 would be great for it.

The 88 does some point to point....i reckon it's the point to point we can make money on. Here's the cities I've flown:

BDL-MIA/MCO/TPA/RSW
BOS-MIA/MCO/TPA/RSW
IAD-CUN
AUS-CUN
MCO-CUN
BNA-CUN

I was thinking more of a SWA style point-to-point to hub in locales we don't fly into.

Now that is an idea. I know a guy that owns antique shops and does quite well because people rent out all of the space from him. He gets a cut of the sale and rent. Not my thing, but another idea.

Construction is a good deal if you know what you are doing. Good markup and overhead can be very manageable.

Automatic ice machines. Look it up. Self car washes too. Both have come highly recommended.

I think I'm going to create a new website that communes YouTube, twitter and Facebook all in one... youtwitface.com

Thank you Conan obrien :D

Kind of like Rodney Dangerfield talking about the brothel he invested in that did really bad. It wasn't until later he found out it was self serve. :D

Icehouses, in the right location, are gold. Trailer parks, convenience stores and lakes have all got to be nearby.

fishin and beer drinkin on weekdays, pasttimes of airline pilots and trailer park dwellers.

I guess at our pay rates, those are not mutually exclusive.

Excellent post, freightguy! Well said.

The problem is... try telling that to DALPA. They will tell you how good you have it... how great they've done for you. They'll tell you that times are tough and our company needs to have cost advantages in order to be competitive. And if you complain too much, they'll tell you that you're a "malcontent" and that if you're so unhappy you should find something else to do for a living.

They won't actually come out and say it in so many words... but what they are really telling you is to not expect too much. Restoration? Forget it! It's not even a consideration by this MEC.

That isn't what my reps are saying! You should start a recall using the procedures outlined in the C&BL!

BTW, maybe some people are "malcontents"...You know when those people fabricate falsehoods, create straw man arguments, propagate rumors that promote their personal agendas, and then turn around and pass them off as facts.

I Illness Do I have an illness or any symptoms of an illness?
M Medication Have I been taking prescription or over-the-counter drugs?
S Stress Am I under psychological pressure from the job? Worried about financial matters, health problems or family discord?
A Alcohol Have I been drinking within eight hours? Within 24 hours?
F Fatigue Am I tired and not adequately rested?
E Eating Am I adequately nourished?

I think the E is for Emotion... ie something is going on that will distract from duties

Could be. That might also fall under stress. For some pilots, it's actually IMSAFED where the D=Do I have my felt puppet?

Give me one example where I've done that. Oh... and don't forget to use facts.
