On the survey, question #13, under Scope, can someone explain to me what "Alter Ego" is? Thanks. Trying like hell to get this right.

But it sure is a lot easier to come up with excuses why something difficult can't be done than it is to buckle down and determine to achieve it.

Sadly, Rather B Fishin's line of thinking is exactly what I think we're going to ultimately see from this MEC. They just can't come out and say it in so many words right now because they would have a revolt on their hands and would likely be replaced with DPA. If they wait until we're actually into Section 6, they know it will be infinitely more difficult to replace them.
CW from who? Not my reps, not my reps from my previous base.

I think that the MEC will know what the MAJORITY of the pilots want based on a high completion rate on the survey.

A sound case will be made with the NC and the professional negotiators.

"Buckle down and achieve it".....Like UCAL, AA, LCC? Like SWA who has never set a bar for pilot compensation and has had a part in bringing the legacy packages DOWN over the last 25 years?

News flash.....It doesn't matter what you or I WANT!!!!

It only matters what the Company will say yes to, and if they won't say yes, then whatever it takes to convince a majority of the voting members of the NMB think is a legitimate offer and that we should be allowed decline a Proffer of Aribtration and start a 30-day cooling off period to press our case.

Nothing else will affect an outcome to our liking.

Changing the bargaining agent will not improve our ability to do the above. ALPA has a better track record of successfully arguing in front of the NMB than any other representational agency available.

Again, why would any REP benefit from not maximizing the value of a new PWA? They have to work and feed their families' under the agreement like anyone else!!!!!!

The Q&A up North sounded a lot like that. "Aim Low" so the NMB doesn't get mad and throw us in a corner was the theme. Just because the APA Chair demanded a 50% immediate raise, that should mean we shouldn't even attempt anything close to restoration, because, seemingly according to these specific reps, we must be just like AA, in everyones' minds. (especially the NMB) Even though the financials aren't even close, because we are similarly sized, we must be THE SAME. The bag tag stickers should read "Aim Low" and "Shallow it out a bit."

I hope so Buzz.

I'll personally stand outside headquarters in a "GUMBY" outfit handing out copies of the paper survey if it gets all 12,000 to take it. (Whatdya say FTB?)

Some real strong buzzwords (no pun intended towards your handle) are being used on this forum, to include "UNITY". Let's really see if this group has it. This is the first of many tests to come.

Hoping for the best,

GJ

LAX 73N. But its not my fault - all the FNW CAPTs have a special line in PBS to request Buzzpat as their FO.

I'm not posting this for anyone to take personal action or as a recommendation. DYODD.

If I buy, I'll let cha know so everyone can see how badly i screwed up.
Too late Scambo1, I've already got ERX stock with calls at a much higher cost. But, it's a position that I planned to dollar cost average into. Great premiums.

Could go as low as 23. Depends on your strategy as to how you play it. It's not likely to go out of business.
