A change of subject. For those of you world travellers out there, if you are nonreving out of AMS, are there any special procedures to know or do you just check in with the agent to check your bags and get airport listed? I haven't done this in a while and was wondering if it was anything like the fiasco at CDG. Thanks,

Hey, I've got an idea guys....how about we stage an "Occupy Virginia Avenue" movement until we get what we want on this contract?
Ferd can bring the beer, Carl can be the dude with the microphone, I'll draw up the signs, FTB can be the big union guy enforcer that keeps people away from Carl, Clamp is in charge of port-a-potties and cheerleaders, Jesse can help out with the cheerleaders, T will be our media spokesperson firing off snarky comments when asked about what we stand for.......I'm sure there are hundreds of other positions that you guys can come up with. Whaddya think? |

Are they seriously telling us that the AF KLM pilots would not allow a couple of general statements about their pay in relation to ours? Ie, they are paid an average of X % more per hour while working Y days average per month? They accrue Z % more vacation, etc?
Too unbelievable for me to believe. DPA is getting another card. Who knows, they are French mind you :D |

Denny My wife and I usually connect through AMS when going anywhere in Europe. Seriously, it's easier than connecting through JFK or ATL on Delta! ZED tickets are pretty cheap, European airlines rarely overbook, and there are almost no nonrevs to compete with . |

Can we not find someone who DOES want the job?? T.O is doing exactly what he is supposed to do - let the process play out, let the line pilots provide their input, the Reps provide direction, and ask what you want. The process is to start with the contract survey. Don't you find it a little ironic that there is constant yelling that the MEC doesn't listen to you, but then when they are asking your input and waiting to evaluate it you accuse them of lack of leadership? If this a bottom up organization those on the bottom need to provide some leadership as well instead of just looking for someone to follow and criticizing when they don't like the way the get lead......... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EUEW9aop_i...00/bron38l.jpg |

No, AMS is far, far easier than CDG in my experience. You just list online and check in using a kiosk just like the US. You can pull up our listings on KLM kiosks, you just need to know your reservation code. If you need help the KLM agents are much nicer and more helpful than Air France agents - again in my experience.

IMHO, even if 100% of the pilots did the survey and every single one of us said we want full restoration, I still don't believe that is what they would go ask for. Just my humble O. |
