W slot swap done and in hand... The western front is next.

I say NO interim mergers. Agreements. Pwa's of ANY kind, until C12 is in the bag. I have moved backwards since this merger as have ALL of my W2's and I'm sick of it.
I couldn't agree more. My younger brother has an interview with Alaska next week. I am supporting him 100% and told him that is the place to be right now. That said, I can see a situation where if hired he quickly moves to 20% up the Alaska list (they are said to be hiring 300 people.....lots of planes coming online...and have a seniority list of less than 1500). I am 10% at Delta.

I will be happy for my brother but I am getting tired of the backward slide. I feel for the guys in L.A. Somethings gotta give. I say no more Delta mergers until pay and work rules are restored to what they were pre BK and Delta has hired some more pilots.

Yeah, and we all know how well that concept works in the US Congress. You are gonna have to do a lot better than this to convince me to sign a card Carl. That and Caplinger needs to come out with a statement that there will be no challenge to the seniority list... ever. Sorry, but I do not trust him in this regard especially since he hired the clown from USAPA. So it's very simple... have make a public statement to that effect, and I sign a card.

Unless you are SWAPA and SWA... there it can be used just fine.

I think time will tell but I'm not sure the future will be as canyon-blue as envisioned by the aforementioned groups...

Oh no, I think it will. SWA will hammer the AT guys, and they will complain about it for awhile, but there aren't enough of them to make any difference. The FOs are happy to have a job.. and they are getting a nice raise eventually, and since Americans have painfully short memories, they will forget about it after a few years. The former AT captains will be written off as "who cares about them anyway?", because there are too few of them. So, SWA wins... again. But They gonna get they butts kicked in ATL and LGA. book it.

I agree - it's nice to see some kind of talk from the top. I do agree with the fact that in public there won't/shouldn't be specifics about what we are going for. Another thing is I am praying that everyone is putting high goals in their surveys to support a robust opener. Since I never saw a dime from C2K I am looking to make a lot more money with a lot less work in the next contract.
