I am 10% at Delta.

I will be happy for my brother but I am getting tired of the backward slide. I feel for the guys in L.A. Somethings gotta give. I say no more Delta mergers until pay and work rules are restored to what they were pre BK and Delta has hired some more pilots.
If that's really the place to be and he'll be 20% in no time, then wouldnt it make sense to join him?

That's interesting.

As to going off line. Imho if one goes off line and takes a position with management or the union there should be a time limit of ## years or they lose their seniority number. The threat of having to rejoin the masses should always be there.

Here is an exercise for you. Look at who was on each MEC when both airlines came out of bankruptcy. That was four years ago. Look at who is on the combined MEC now. Tell me all the names that are the same.

Rationally, and in short, probably yes.

However, it seems Hawaiian might be the real ace at which to get hired.

Sorry, but I do not trust him in this regard especially since he hired the clown from USAPA. So it's very simple... have make a public statement to that effect, and I sign a card.
You mean a statement like this?

There is a rumor floating around that DPA is seeking to overturn the Seniority List Integration. Is this true?

Absolutely not! That is a rumor being spread by ALPA proponents that is simply ridiculous. The list is permanent and not changeable. Anyone who is suggesting this idea should be challenged to describe a method for this to occur. They won’t be able to. The issue is dead and we are moving forward unified.

Did he personally sign that pledge? That is an FAQ... I want his name on that statement so I would have someone to sue in the event it is challenged.

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you said "public statement." I didn't know you wanted a personally signed pledge. Why don't you email Tim? I don't know, but he might be willing to provide you with that. I'm pretty sure he's the one who wrote the answer to that FAQ.

Hey Guys

Quick question. I'm trying to put in a swap for November and was denied for "Capped Reserve Days.'' There are way more reserves available than required but the trip I want spills into Dec on day. Is that why? No reserves available yet for Dec 1?

Thanks in advance.

The problem is that we, the pilots or any other employee group, do NOT get a say or a vote on whether a merger happens or not. Yes, pressure can be brought but if management is going to do it we do not have a choice other than negotiating a JCBA. In the event of a merger some might say don't agree to a new JCBA. I, for one, do not want to turn this airline into another US Air debacle.

Short answer: yes.

Essentially you cannot swap a carryover trip until after the initial bids come out for December because of the reason you noted. At least that's my understanding.
